[00:03:51] So we took him outside to go play
[00:03:53] and he was dead in the backyard.

[00:41:50] We just did four of us are going to yeah we don't know when all four of us are going to get on so we try and do this you know because we can't do it without all four of us so.
[00:41:59] You know so with these three big games playoffs basically I had a reach in the three games coming up this this this week.
[00:42:08] I really don't care about the auto a game or the penguin game like I just want to win that Ranger game like I just want to make our presence known and not be just such a push over like we were these last three games that we played against them.
[00:42:23] I mean they embarrassed us every game.
[00:42:26] Yeah I mean you got to do it for the whole organization for the fans for for the you know each other as teammates that's why it's it's like a real gut check game.
[00:42:34] I felt that way the moment that last game was over I feel that way even more so now especially you know like look if they were hadn't dropped these games they should have won.
[00:42:43] They'd be like playoff implications even greater and you know you really want to win for those reasons but in some weird way like because they did that and I feel like.
[00:42:53] And through those points away this it becomes the main thing for sure and is to go and show some heart and play an ugly game and show yourselves that you can go there and you know deal out some revenge that's basically what it comes down to.
[00:43:11] I tell you Alan's been oppressive too man like to see him you know beat them I mean he's you can't blame him for this this like you know what I love about him either the goalies yeah they got.
[00:43:20] He loses you can tell like he really believes he can come in here he wants to be the guy that actually gets this turned around yeah I love seeing that kind of hard so hopefully I was very optimistic you guys probably listen to show right with Chris I did say I think they're going to win out this week.
[00:43:35] I just lower my points because I need some points Chris is catching up on me but I'm.
[00:43:39] Bobby gave all his reasons why he thought they would win out and then I counterpointed with reasons why they're not going to win any game this week now I don't necessarily believe that I just.
[00:43:49] You know I just keep hoping that something's going to change and then you see like you know you're on the road in Buffalo a two goal lead.
[00:43:59] And you play the worst possible 40 minutes of a road game that I've seen it just felt part of the second.
[00:44:07] Yeah yeah yeah it's just these and it mostly is in their own end like that's the thing like they even they did have some.
[00:44:15] You know for checking and some offensive zone time and stuff in that game they I mean I thought that Jack was skating his butt off and he was really trying to do everything he could but then just.
[00:44:26] In their own end they don't know what to do well take the simple play to never you have to clear out and some games they have done it and like they'll play like there is a I'm trying to think of the game a few games ago they had a lead and they're protecting a lead for two periods and maybe.
[00:44:42] They were not worried about them during that game because they were doing the you know the simple chip outs and just playing smart simple D you don't have to go out there when you have a lead and you know make every every time it's in your end a beautiful.
[00:44:59] Breakout for offense to think sometimes it's about like hey this puck has been our end a little too long let's make sure we get a good clear instead now we're not doing that we're just I don't know what the extra step is and then they don't clear it.
[00:45:11] It's just it's mind boggling. You hear you know dado and Bryce you know especially being defenseman under a totally different style but still defenseman nonetheless looking at this going what what are you guys doing you got to get that puck out and they're not wrong.
[00:45:28] You know I said to Bobby that for next year like I wanted just see Hamilton.
[00:45:35] Luke use and Shimon damage that are on this team right now as far as the back end those those are the only three guys I want back next year like I want you to I want to
[00:45:45] share the go find three solid you know league average just smart good defenseman that know what they're doing that don't make mistakes like I like Nick D Simone a lot I like the way he plays.
[00:45:59] I think that the rest of the guys should you know follow his lead he's always quick with his decision making in his own end gets the puck out it's always hard passes it's always blocking shots yeah doing all those things like I feel like with the three guys
[00:46:14] and other year with some onemage and Luke use really kind of coming in her own doggy Hamilton back that that's all you need on that blue line like what do you guys think about that maybe some coaching to stress that like the coach
[00:46:27] should not tolerate trying a nifty past that gets picked off out of your own end that I mean that should be something that we're just not going to do we're just not going to make bad passes in our own end.
[00:46:38] And now when Hattaka was in when marina was injured those couple games I don't know about you guys but I thought our defense was much more sound with Hattaka and dissimone in there more so than
[00:46:49] Seagantal or marino. Talk about sent down today actually back to you.
[00:46:53] Great and I heard Tim Wood staying and I understand where he's coming from.
[00:46:57] I'm not saying he's wrong I think there could be bounce back years but I'm with you man I'm not satisfied with Seagantal's play and something I never thought
[00:47:06] I'd say last year marino and if you were going to you know go out and replace those two guys with solitude I would totally understand why of the two I really feel like marino
[00:47:17] has got a bigger upside than Seagantal and I almost want to give him that leash to come back but I would love it like an insurance policy where if he doesn't show maybe under
[00:47:26] some better coaching the old marino we wash our hands of him real quick if he's going to stay with us. And Seagantal I mean between injuries and some of
[00:47:35] the decisions he's made the fact that I look at him as like a little older and a leader but he hasn't really filled that role.
[00:47:41] I'm ready to replace him this off season personally there's something we all got to remember too is like we all definitely missed Hamilton but there was a lot of people
[00:47:49] that was not happy with Hamilton's play this year he's not the most defensive defense. You know like that's the thing if you're looking for nobody
[00:47:56] making horrible passes defensive mistakes Hamilton's not your prototype guy for that he was bringing the offense and it much like so many other guys we got like you know younger guys
[00:48:08] Nemach and Hughes and ever you're going to accept certain amount of mistakes out of Hamilton that's the book on Hamilton.
[00:48:13] So you have to say what's that I think I think you got to bring two defensive pieces in for next year where you're going to have the same problems as you had this year maybe
[00:48:20] I'm going to say no one Hamilton I want Hamilton I kind of want one offensive defenseman on each pair and he's sparing yeah yeah and so the other guys got to be a reliable rock.
[00:48:30] That's exactly what Chris and I talked about last show too and then throughout one idea which is kind of a big idea but you could have the ability hypothetically to take
[00:48:39] marino and see you can throw her you could move both of them and they're combined contracts over $7 million then you can get a true stud number one defensive demand and then fill in the other two with your hotaka.
[00:48:51] Hotaka yeah what's the point that would point which is a great idea I like it but I'm curious what Tony and Dan think about Kevin ball.
[00:49:00] Man that is the thing I want ball to develop into the defenseman that I feel like everybody knows he could be but he hasn't really done that.
[00:49:10] He's not over again Chris yeah that's exactly yeah I mean I think we're on the same page with him because he's got such an upside big guy got a lot of reach he seems like he has got some really good sense at times and he could picture with scoring he's not you know he's not like no offense but he's not like a Kenny data code of
[00:49:27] defenseman you know he can you know score more than Kenny data code but he's like unfortunately he hasn't shown that I'm just thinking it would be nice if we could keep him in the system without you
[00:49:40] know you know spending a lot of money on him and give him a shot to come through but I'm not satisfied.
[00:49:50] I think it's something I would regret later on if he develops to what I think he can be if we let him go now really do but we definitely need more solid it's so important we've seen now all year you know the gold tending has taken a little bit of the problems we had
[00:50:06] taking a little bit of the focus off of the the problems yeah and people have known about them we've talked about them but now with Alan and you know
[00:50:15] I'm just hoping to play so good for us you know I think that it's pretty obvious that what's remaining to make this team of much better team is a better defensive system you know so boy if I have to
[00:50:29] I'm going to part with Kevin ball if I can you know feel like I got it locked up to what I want and I don't want to do that.
[00:50:36] Tell me what do you think of Kevin ball I think with ball I think one thing he's missing is something that I don't know if you can actually just make yourself have I think he's missing snarle and I don't think he has an in him.
[00:50:46] He's a big guy with that size if he had that it would be a whole different story right now I just think that that's not something that you could just fake.
[00:50:53] You know he had to eat be you know one of the most sought after defenseman in the league I mean I just think about the char when Char came in he's not the giant bowl that he ended up being midway through his career.
[00:51:05] Like he was always big he had to potential but I don't remember him playing as nasty of a game until he was in the league for a few years.
[00:51:13] Well when he first charmer first came in I don't know you know it's so long ago but he could barely skate this dude was a terrible skater right so when he finally got skating good and then you know the physicalities of course comes with it Kevin ball I think is a you know he's a decent skater he's not great but he's an average skater.
[00:51:31] I've seen him improve since last year remember his first debut with us he's definitely improved since that.
[00:51:36] Absolutely but it's the like if he was doing the other stuff like the snarle and you know using that big frame and stuff then you can kind of live with a few of the defensive mistakes because he brings more bring something an element to this team that we don't have but he doesn't do it.
[00:51:54] So even just a physicality of you know sometimes we need somebody to start a fight yeah you know and he has had chances where he doesn't do that.
[00:52:02] You know like we said on Saturday like the idea of Kevin ball is a lot better than what you actually get from Kevin ball so I mean I'm fine with it I'm fine if he went I'm fine at marino left I'm fine with see if see the dollar left just replace them with like we said a league average solid guys that do the right thing they know how to play smart dudes.
[00:52:23] We don't need every defenseman to jump in on every play and you know so I feel like this whole system is just out of whack for the guys we have like I don't know maybe it's you know and you know it's not just young it's imbalanced.
[00:52:38] Yeah it's very imbalanced and you know you're going to need a coach that has a hard ass coach that knows what he's doing that's going to tell these guys what is expected of them and hold them responsible.
[00:52:51] So you know well we'll see this week three big games and it is crazy that their playoffs are still hanging on by an ass hair.
[00:53:01] And this week doesn't feel like it does it though no just doesn't feel like a dingo barrier hope.
[00:53:08] I think that this week I think it's going to stem off of how they play tomorrow night against the penguins if they lose that game against the penguins I think that they're throwing the towel in and you could basically not expect a whole lot for remaining seven games.
[00:53:25] I think if they come out and they play really good and they're feeling good about themselves and they come into the ranger game and they beat them in MSG maybe they could put off a run of you know five six seven in a row but again what are we doing we're going to get in just to get bounced in five games because that's probably what's going to happen.
[00:53:45] Anything else you guys want to talk about tonight just want to that's a pretty good preview on the week yes but bring up for Tony and Dan because they weren't on last week no you off season is coming for us right and we still have a show that we're going to put together last season we spent a lot of time always kind of projecting out what the lines are going to be right and we just kind of went with it and just kind of discussed it in general.
[00:54:06] This year what we're going to do is we're going to take the lineup at the end of the year straight up what was put out on the ice and that's going to be our starting point and then we're going to make our predictions as to where I think our lines are going to go like what players are going to be imported for opening day next year but I'm going to keep track of it so that.
[00:54:26] Tony and Dan now somebody's got a statical.

[00:54:37] That was weird i'm sorry Bobby that's alright so basically now we can keep track of when trades come in or when signings come in we can slot them in as it's happening as opposed to just in October saying yeah here's the team that I said we're going to have a long and we'll just kind of carry through the season I'll keep all four of our team layouts that will change week to week and I think we can throw in some accountability sessions in there just like we do with the other game.
[00:55:01] It may even make some kind of points out of it shared out for the audience a little bit and get some votes just to see where it goes you know like maybe Dan you're like no I like keeping jack you is on the left wing.
[00:55:11] Whatever reason you want to say something like that you know it's kind of predicted out during the next coming through yeah yeah October i'll be a good time give us some fun games to play in the summertime and hopefully you know we have a game 83 but you know don't hold your breath.
