[00:00:02] Hello friends, how's everybody doing this fine evening here on The Uncle Puckers with Bobby

[00:00:36] Tony and Dan on Chris. What's up boys? Hey man, lovely night for a podcast. Yeah, like I said,

[00:00:43] I shut the the Hurricanes game off at 3-3 and I'm just taping the rest of like three minutes left.

[00:00:50] So I'm sure I'll probably be disappointed when it's all said and done but ah man those fucking

[00:00:57] Rangers. Yeah is there no intro guys? Oh Tony yeah welcome to the new format. There is an intro

[00:01:06] but it's done in the future. We put it in the present. Oh but you're very observant there was no

[00:01:13] intro that you heard but the listeners will hear one. There you go. Thanks for opening up the

[00:01:21] curtain Tony. I have a couple of issues though with these playoffs so far. The first is why is it

[00:01:33] that when you know the Rangers are playing as well as they are and all the announcers and everybody

[00:01:38] go on and on about oh how well they play the 1-3-1 and this they don't call it the trap unless the

[00:01:45] devils do it right and then we're like the big bad trap team and you know yeah they're playing

[00:01:51] it and they're playing it well because it's a good neutral zone system to play but when

[00:01:57] we do it it's the most boring hockey ever. I feel like it's always been like that. It's been branded

[00:02:02] our suck even though other teams have done it over and over again since we dominated it way back in

[00:02:09] the 90s by the way and yeah you're right a lot of teams fall back into it and they just don't

[00:02:14] you know hear any shift for it they're just playing good hockey. Rangers are getting praised

[00:02:17] for it. They're getting praised. Yeah we played the most boring brand of hockey ever.

[00:02:23] Yeah well you know that's media market turnaround stuff that's what happens you know so they're

[00:02:29] going to pump up everything the Rangers do because it's more profitable to say so and you know being

[00:02:36] that we were their opponents you know of course they're going to cast them in the bad light.

[00:02:40] Dude if the Rangers win the Stanley Cup seriously life in New Jersey is and all next season is

[00:02:46] going to be hell like we thought there were a ton of ranger fans at the games you know at the

[00:02:51] rock this year and every other year like imagine how it's going to be if they win the cup. It could

[00:02:56] be nice for me to escape that over here in PA. It's going to be on they're already unbearable

[00:03:01] like to deal with it. It could be worse though I mean you know in 90 what last time this happened

[00:03:06] we got we got beat by them in seven games in a play out at least that didn't happen this time

[00:03:10] at least we were part of the ladder. You gotta look at the bright side of things you know.

[00:03:14] Did you guys beat us we were playing exactly. Exactly. Can't beat our golf game. Do you guys see

[00:03:22] that stat floating around about teams that started to play off 7-0? No. It's only happened 12 times.

[00:03:30] Eight of the 12 times that team won the Stanley Cup including the 1994 Rangers.

[00:03:36] Hey listen the Rangers are pretty good man. I mean as much as I can't stand them they're

[00:03:39] fucking good they are built to win. They're tough. They have all these things that we have a lot of

[00:03:44] things that we're missing. I mean as much as I hate it what I'll do is I do this when the Chiefs

[00:03:48] win the Super Bowl. I do this when the Patriots are winning the Super Bowl or when the Red Sox

[00:03:52] are winning the World Series. I will not watch Sports Center or any highlights if they win

[00:03:56] the Cup for like two weeks. That's what I usually do. I'll be honest I totally

[00:04:00] want to team I hate like when I was living in Tampa and their Bucks beat the Raiders in the

[00:04:03] Super Bowl. It was like a nightmare because you couldn't get away from it. I haven't clicked

[00:04:08] on like NHL radio on XM since he's playoff started. Like I have not I cannot listen to this Rangers

[00:04:16] shit. It makes me angry. I've said it before and so yeah I'm out. Now look I think the Rangers

[00:04:23] are a very good team but I'm gonna be 100% honest with you. I don't think they can beat Florida.

[00:04:28] I could be wrong but I don't think they can beat Florida and I look at some of these teams

[00:04:33] out west they're gonna give you know the Rangers fits. I mean look does Carolina I just don't think

[00:04:40] has played that well. Am I wrong by saying that like I feel like they just haven't played that well.

[00:04:46] They have not played that well and yet all the games one goal games right Carolina came back

[00:04:52] in the first game but lost and the other two were over time and what was it 3-3 like you said

[00:04:56] when you saw today so I mean they've all been close imagine what they could have done

[00:04:59] if they're playing it maybe Carolina's level. It really is frustrating but yeah I mean if you look

[00:05:08] at it if they get through tonight they beat them and they lose you know win eight or eight in a row

[00:05:13] I mean they played a horrible Washington team and the Carolina team that should have been a hell

[00:05:19] of a lot better than they are so yeah for sure like you know it's hard to predict a sweep you

[00:05:26] know you do it occasionally they but it's really hard to actually think that a team's gonna

[00:05:29] sweep another team sometimes you're right and they do do it but if they wind up sweeping like

[00:05:35] the kid who saw that coming I mean as much as you know I can admit like Dan I probably picked

[00:05:39] the Canes more with heart than head but still there it still should have been a coin flip

[00:05:44] at best it shouldn't have been like this this is lost. I'm with you Dan you have anything

[00:05:50] you want to add. I think Florida's got a totally different kind of game that will work against

[00:05:55] the Rangers even if the Canes don't wake up in time which you know being down three nothing

[00:06:00] regardless what happens tonight that's a tough road so you know I just think Florida's

[00:06:06] much grittier team and they'll do a better job against the Rangers. We'll see though because

[00:06:12] I honestly would have thought that the Canes would have been dominating or at least had you

[00:06:18] know maybe been up two one at this point not down three nothing so. I'm curious how the

[00:06:23] Rangers respond if they deal with any adversity in these playoffs you know if they're down two nothing

[00:06:28] next series or something how do they respond well they got to lose first but you know I'm just curious

[00:06:34] about that. I think with the Rangers the thing is they probably will I don't know they've been

[00:06:38] good all year like there hasn't really been much you know there hasn't been that like wave they've

[00:06:43] been pretty solid all year Florida can definitely beat them I mean I think it will go seven

[00:06:48] games you never know what can happen obviously but Florida is the actually I was thinking about

[00:06:52] this today Florida out of all the teams left Dallas is a weird team to me I think Dallas can

[00:06:56] beat them but Dallas some reason I don't have the 100% confidence in them but about Colorado.

[00:07:04] I don't know I mean I will say this I don't know if you guys talked about I was happy to see

[00:07:08] Wood get that goal the other night though and overtime which that was his first which

[00:07:11] Chris was talking about how Zaka never got a uh or never a postseason goal that was Woods

[00:07:16] actually first OT goal and for some reason I thought with the Devils he had put

[00:07:20] put a game winner in before but uh you know yeah I mean the rate that's just that's just

[00:07:26] Durkin I mean they have such you know the things like probably just the Rangers have the things that

[00:07:31] championship teams need to have they're built like that Florida is just something about them and

[00:07:37] I know Bobby when when Florida got pummeled this week by Boston I know we're like maybe you know

[00:07:42] I kind of knew they had to have a shitty game I was like you know it's they're due they're

[00:07:46] due to shit the bed for a game and come out and turn that around yeah turn that around the

[00:07:50] two you know Chris brought up what if what if the Rangers um no go ahead and sweep and then they're

[00:07:55] nice and rested you know and then they get a Florida team that might wind up going long and

[00:07:59] beating each other up with Boston hey that might not happen anymore Florida might just start to

[00:08:04] take it and take care of this but B even if it does I mean sometimes these long rests

[00:08:09] you know the way the Rangers are playing they do like a team of destiny I wouldn't want a

[00:08:12] week off yeah you know a day or two to rest up but I don't think they would want a week off

[00:08:17] they'll take it sure what about that what about that fight the other night too with uh what's

[00:08:20] the posture knock and uh oh good chuck yeah yeah that was fun um both of those guys you got to

[00:08:26] give props to because they you know they told you I mean especially past us like he does never

[00:08:32] drops the gloves but I was hearing some crap about um fans being disappointed with kichuk

[00:08:38] throwing blows when he was down yeah I didn't see it live but I watched it there was like one

[00:08:42] extra punch it was within the split second at the end of the fight like it didn't lay anything to me

[00:08:46] no I don't think I think it was just in the uh the heat of things yeah I don't think it was

[00:08:51] anything but like the out of all the eight teams left like there's guys on every single team

[00:08:58] that I'm like I'd like to see them win a cup I'd like to see them win a cup there's nobody

[00:09:02] on the ranger like there's just nobody likable on that goddamn team

[00:09:08] when the fuck is that Tony drivers suck I mean you know I love that that's just

[00:09:12] sturkin as he's the only guy they did not I don't mind you know I'd love to see about success with

[00:09:17] some other team yeah but do you really want to see him win a cup no the Rangers well I mean I

[00:09:23] don't care if he ever does I like shes jerking too but like he's not that guy like I watch

[00:09:28] Carolina and I know you know we had our issues were uh you know Burns uh when he was back in San

[00:09:33] Jose and stuff but like I'd like to see him win the cup you know this dude's been around forever

[00:09:38] he's just you know that grizzled the veteran I'd like to see him go on a run like he said Miles would

[00:09:45] Adam Henry definitely Adam Henry even Connor McDavid and and you know a couple of guys on

[00:09:51] that team I'd like to see you know Quinn Hughes I'd like to see when it's just a bar where others

[00:09:58] I'd like to see the board even when this guy has been what's game seven master I mean you know I

[00:10:03] I always liked the board I wasn't happy when they got rid of them the devil's guy rid of them but

[00:10:07] I mean I wouldn't mind seeing him win good segue into the coaches tone let's uh because we got

[00:10:14] some fun stuff to do later so let's get like our you know business out of the way coach watch

[00:10:20] coach watch 2024 so we have interviewed quite a few guys already um now like the uncle puckers we have

[00:10:28] or no no I mean tom Fitzgerald has we have not interviewed anybody the interviewer missed out once

[00:10:35] and then he doesn't return it I think he's in wildwood tonight I don't know yeah he probably is

[00:10:44] he's at the rally so I had a the guys that we know had come in for interviews and some of their

[00:10:51] stats that we could talk a little bit about them and a couple of guys that are on our wish list that

[00:10:57] haven't been in for interviews yet so first what I had was Travis Green but we don't

[00:11:01] worry about him because Ottawa took the bullet and they hired him uh so we know

[00:11:07] Todd McClellan was in Todd McClellan's coached in the NHL for 16 seasons he's 56 years old

[00:11:16] he's had seven years in San Jose five years in Los Angeles four years in Edmonton now his time in

[00:11:23] San Jose he coached 540 games 311 wins 163 losses and 66 overtime losses for a winning percentage

[00:11:34] of 637 in the regular season he coached 62 playoff games with the Kings I mean with the

[00:11:42] sharks I'm sorry he's 30 and 32 with a 484 winning percentage with San Jose in the playoffs

[00:11:50] Todd McClellan in this time in uh San Jose let me see if I get this excuse me

[00:11:57] uh where so McClellan in 0809 he uh lost in the first round with San Jose in six games

[00:12:10] in um 09 and 10 he was the sharks were swept out of the western conference finals

[00:12:16] and in 1011 he lost in the western conference finals again in five games so took San Jose to

[00:12:23] two conference finals and they didn't make it to the uh the cup final so then he left there he

[00:12:30] went to LA where he spent five years 338 games coached 164 wins 130 losses 44 overtime losses

[00:12:39] for a 550 winning percentage those playoffs he did 13 games um he won five he lost eight

[00:12:47] for a 385 winning percentage uh let me see where he was with those games in uh 1112 they lost in the

[00:12:56] first round in five in 1213 uh lost in seven in round two 1314 uh lost in the first round in

[00:13:06] seven games so he didn't have much playoff success with the Kings as their head coached

[00:13:11] then uh four years in Edmonton 266 games coached 123 wins 119 losses 24 overtime losses for a 508

[00:13:20] percentage 13 games in the playoffs seven and six uh for a 538 winning percentage

[00:13:27] now Tom McClellan's career is like I said 16 years coaching 1144 games coached 598 wins 412 losses

[00:13:39] 134 overtime losses for a winning percentage of 581 he's coached 88 games in the playoffs for a 42 46

[00:13:48] record and a 477 winning percentage in the postseason now out of all the guys I'm going to go

[00:13:55] through title of McClellan is the bottom of my list Chris can you repeat all those numbers again

[00:14:00] my headphones are out

[00:14:05] no I can't that's a lot of and if you can do it with that excessive page flip that would be great

[00:14:11] 16 years of coaching is a lot of numbers the other guys have that kind of stats but

[00:14:17] I'm not I'm not big on Tom McClellan he does not like his name I don't like his name he makes me

[00:14:22] think of uh the old the Civil War general who had to get replaced by Lincoln well there you go

[00:14:29] he's out was his name Tom he was I think he's probably related to George McClellan I think his

[00:14:34] name was but he was such a shitty hesitant general that he had to get replaced otherwise we would have

[00:14:39] Alvin speaking southern

[00:14:43] speaking southern um all right so because he's related to a terrible union general we're

[00:14:50] going to get rid of him yeah exactly how do you guys feel about him coach the blue jackets

[00:14:54] how do you guys feel about you know their name is not about a b right no it's about a

[00:15:01] sure yeti there's a b on their sleeve that's a ball sack a yeti Chris I was thinking about

[00:15:08] the yeti name he's starting to grow on me man I have to say that's not yeti that's herpes

[00:15:12] I got yeti on me I know I got all yeti in I I like swarm I think yeti I like and the swarm I like

[00:15:25] Utah swarm yeah finger blasters was a little weird though I didn't like that you don't like the

[00:15:31] finger blasters you thought that was good that was a great name finger blast yeah finger bang gang

[00:15:38] uh so does Tom McCollum do anything for you and your general awards Tony and uh finger banging

[00:15:45] yeah and your bumpy dick no man no Bobby Todd McCollum no no I mean yeah just no

[00:15:59] all right now this next guy when I heard he came in for an interview what's the matter Bobby

[00:16:05] what's the matter is this thinking about Tony's bumpy dick I think that's it

[00:16:11] right it's like I mean that's like line of the day yeah it's pretty good I just wasn't expecting

[00:16:18] that you know on pox like a pickle yeah it'd be gherkin off all the time sheldon kief um we know

[00:16:30] he was just brought in for an interview I was like at first when I heard that sheldon kief was coming

[00:16:35] and I was and I think it was just that I hate Toronto yeah Toronto speak right anything associated

[00:16:44] to Toronto I was like you want that I don't want them I don't want their goddamn rejects

[00:16:48] and then I thought a little bit about it and I was like well wasn't Pat Burns one of their

[00:16:52] rejects at one point and that worked out good for us that's true and then I you know

[00:16:57] just looked into sheldon kief a lot and I am kind of warming up to the idea of sheldon

[00:17:05] kief possibly being this coach so he's 43 years old he's only coached with Toronto

[00:17:13] 349 games this is his regular season um 212 wins 97 losses 40 overtime losses for a winning

[00:17:23] percentage a regular season of 665 so the guy get this team to win his teams to win in the 82 game

[00:17:31] schedule playoffs they hadn't had some so much luck 37 games uh 16 and 21 for a 432 winning

[00:17:39] percentage in the playoffs for sheldon kief and I believe his like he went out let me say here

[00:17:46] so sheldon kief in 1920 he lost in uh round one in six games that was that point where they had

[00:17:54] qualifying rounds what no you said 1920 but I know what you meant keep going okay yes I'll try

[00:18:03] here in 1920 yeah uh that was like the qualifying round I think they lost in six and then 2020

[00:18:10] 2020 2021 he lost in the seven games in round one the next year they lost in seven games around one

[00:18:19] last year they lost in five games in round two and this year they lost in seven games in round one

[00:18:24] yeah all right kind of brutal somebody who can teach us to lose in round one we we need to get

[00:18:31] back to round one anyway so let's let's discuss sheldon kief for a minute uh he made his his

[00:18:37] bones in the minor leagues when he uh so I think he he brought a uh a calder cup in he won the calder

[00:18:45] cup when he was coaching the marlies uh he has a you know really good coaching record in the minor

[00:18:52] leagues and I was thinking about the pembroke lumber kings which I think is a chl uh central

[00:18:58] canada hockey league team I think he had won like five championships in a row with them then he

[00:19:04] was uh yeah over the three then he went to I believe that last one did it do do he coached

[00:19:15] the uh sue st. marie grayhounds he finished his cchl coaching rec career with a record of 285 95 and 12

[00:19:25] so that's a hell of a record sure and um like I said won the calder cup with the marlies

[00:19:33] and you think about coaching in toronto and how unbelievably difficult that must be when you

[00:19:41] got guys like you know brennan shanahan and tree living and stuff that are constantly micro managing

[00:19:47] you're dealing with the media you're dealing with a roster loaded with divas up there and he got

[00:19:54] really good hockey out of them and I am kind of warning up warming up the idea maybe sheldon

[00:19:59] kiew coming in I like the idea he's only 43 um he's had success everywhere he's gone

[00:20:06] and not maybe maybe not post season success but you can't put all that on the coach the

[00:20:10] guys have to go out there and play um what do you guys think of sheldon kiew there's worse

[00:20:16] out there that's thanks for saying earlier chris me and you there's I would be my number one

[00:20:21] pick I guess but I mean you know you you want peruvian yeah I would like peruvian I think I

[00:20:27] was I think he's probably the best option out there of course I do like brennan more

[00:20:33] I don't even mind soloing but I mean I I'll take any of the four really because you know who are we

[00:20:39] going to get uh well the fourth being kief okay yeah kief because I was the same way Chris was

[00:20:47] at first you know I was kind of like oh you know with the last couple seasons Toronto

[00:20:51] but then you know I mean there's also some guys on Toronto I blame for that you know I was

[00:20:55] on on the roster this year especially with marner and a lot of the shit that was going on at the end

[00:20:58] it was getting really weird in Toronto even you know there was just a lot of things going on on that

[00:21:02] team and so you know there's worse options out there I would be very happy with sheldon kiew

[00:21:09] I would be I oh I'm over I'm now I think sheldon kiew over I would take him over Craig

[00:21:15] burrubi no it doesn't look like it's gonna be burrubi because they're still taking

[00:21:19] interviews here and stuff so it's not like I shouldn't say that but he definitely didn't

[00:21:24] wow tomfits Gerald and and upper management when he went in for his interview where they were like

[00:21:28] we can't let this guy leave the building uh they let him leave the building and they're still looking

[00:21:33] so I don't know how much he wooed them so yeah sheldon kiew right now these two I definitely

[00:21:41] want him he's above my Craig burrubi we'll do burrubi next but Bobby what do you think of

[00:21:45] sheldon kiew listen I'm sure he's extremely intelligent hockey man but my biggest fear

[00:21:50] when the devils roster are starting to come together in the last couple years is the only

[00:21:54] thing I didn't want them to become was the next Toronto Maple Leafs so I don't want any shadow

[00:21:58] of that organization on us so I say no just for that stupid reason okay and Dan I mean I kind

[00:22:05] of agree with Tony's rankings that he mentioned of those four I'll kind of feel the same way there

[00:22:11] um I still would prefer burrubi but you know I make a good point that maybe that's not where

[00:22:15] if it's Gerald's going so keep something in mind when it comes to burrubi right at the time he left

[00:22:21] st louis the entire team hated his fucking guts yeah and I do think that that says something I don't

[00:22:29] want that hard-ass coach that's gonna come in and wear out his welcome in two or three years like

[00:22:33] tortorella does like burrubi kind of did in st louis and stuff I just don't want that whoever

[00:22:38] we get in here as a coach I really hope it's stable I would love to have what Tampa has and

[00:22:44] what Pittsburgh has and just you know even Dallas now like just guys that you know are going to be

[00:22:50] behind the bench for a long time and do right by this team and that's the only thing that worries

[00:22:54] me about burrubi is just how it left how we left yeah every time we talked about that uh you

[00:23:00] know type of mannerism that we wanted it wasn't just that that has to be a you know part of the

[00:23:05] coaching style I think that you in today's day and age you can't be that constantly so maybe

[00:23:11] maybe we have we have overstated the importance of that kind of drill sergeant mentality and I'm one

[00:23:18] of them that kind of went right to him um well yeah who's one of the guys that made these decisions

[00:23:23] who's one of the last coaches the devils have had that you guys have really liked

[00:23:28] I'm gonna say de Boer right off the bat was well I actually like yeah that's the last guy I really

[00:23:32] I really like Pat Burns yeah I like you know well yeah I like him or do I like just to this

[00:23:39] results is my last one out of the last batch we've had because of course we all love Lamar

[00:23:44] we all love Robinson you know I thought if it was the best if our next coach brings us a cup we'll

[00:23:49] love him too I'm sure so sure but who's who's the last one that you guys actually really hate it

[00:23:54] seeing going uh and I wouldn't even say oh I hated seeing De Boer go I kind of understood it

[00:24:01] but like I did like him I thought he was a good coach just you know that's the way it is though

[00:24:08] sometimes you know the good coach and your team they they're both you like your team you like the

[00:24:14] coach but it's not working anymore you know to some extent that's the story of lendy I mean

[00:24:19] he had some success with the team um even though you know with last year during all his success

[00:24:26] we were kind of like sometimes they just don't understand it you know I had some problems

[00:24:30] with his coaching moves you know he had success so uh but then it came a point where it just was

[00:24:37] not working and that happened with the best of them you know nobody stayed around forever you

[00:24:41] know nobody's retired as a coach with the devils uh so you know that's that's to be expected

[00:24:48] in fact I don't even know what else did Larry Robinson do after I don't know he might have

[00:24:53] he might have been the only one to stop coaching after the mayor went on forever I mean he was

[00:24:57] over Minnesota I mean he's still with the islander organization yes so um but like Larry Robinson was

[00:25:07] the kind of coach that I feel like even now like his personality would go over really really well

[00:25:13] he'd be a successful coach he was very open with the players and they had a very good relationship

[00:25:19] with them he got to know them more on a personal level maybe they had to be maybe they had to

[00:25:23] also do with the fact that he started uh in the devil's organization as an assistant and that's kind

[00:25:28] of your role so when he got the head coaching job he kind of knew these guys a lot of them and stuff

[00:25:34] and I feel like he was the type of guy that would always hold you accountable but he wasn't that

[00:25:40] hard-ass like Pat Burns and Jacques LeMair are I don't know if Jacques LeMair's coaching style

[00:25:46] goes over long term in the league like it you know nowadays same with him especially today's

[00:25:51] players I don't know how they would respond to LeMair or even like a you know um Kenan or

[00:25:58] these guys you know right guys I didn't like too much out of all the guys Robinson probably could

[00:26:02] adapt to the new because you know even back then he had the old school players the old school

[00:26:05] mentality totally different than it is now you're dealing with you look at I believe that is

[00:26:10] what happened in Toronto and a lot of ways with that locker room you can see that divide

[00:26:13] at the end some guys it was just a lot of question marks guys missing games and not

[00:26:17] really the right explanations why like you know nobody kind of knew what's going on but Robinson

[00:26:23] probably is the one that could adapt to the 2024 player you know but yeah I agree with that

[00:26:29] so so Craig Barubi all right he coached for eight years in the league he's 58

[00:26:33] he did two years in Philadelphia he coached 161 games 75 wins 58 losses 28 otls for a

[00:26:43] 553 winning percentage in the playoffs with the um Flyers seven games three and four for 429

[00:26:51] safe percentage then he did six years in st. Louis 382 games coached 206 wins 132 losses 44

[00:26:59] otls for a 597 winning percentage 51 games in the playoffs with st. Lois 24 wins 27 losses

[00:27:07] 471 winning percentage one cup so his career is 543 games 281 wins 190 line 190 losses 720 overtime

[00:27:19] losses for a 500 0.584 winning percentage that's in his career with a 466 winning percentage in the

[00:27:27] playoffs career wise then we talked about Craig Barubi a little bit and I like Craig Barubi I

[00:27:32] just worry how his style is going to his personality and stuff is going to jive with

[00:27:40] some of the guys on our team that's my only issue I think he can definitely get these

[00:27:46] guys to play better hockey absolutely but and uh here's a guy that kind of just kind of popped up

[00:27:53] on the radar people are now talking about Jay Woodcroft another young guy 47 years old he only

[00:28:00] coached an Edmonton another guy like Sheldon Keef who made his bones in minor league hockey did uh had

[00:28:06] a very good career coaching there so he only coached 133 games 79 wins 41 losses 130 I'm sorry 13 otls

[00:28:18] 643 winning percentage in the playoffs 28 games he's 500 at 14 and 14 uh I like Jay Woodcroft

[00:28:28] I was kind of bouncing this around in my in my head so my first reaction was I like Jay Woodcroft

[00:28:35] because he can work with superstars we know that you know he worked with you know uh dry

[00:28:40] saddle and mcdavid and all the other guys they have there and got very good but he was Jay Woodcroft

[00:28:49] successful because he had uh Leon dry saddle and Connor mcdavid and Hyman and all those guys that's

[00:28:55] that's my dilemma I'm battling with in my head I'm there with you on him but you could see the

[00:29:00] parallels of a team starting up a lot of young talent getting better but you're talking about

[00:29:05] two of the best players in the world on one team then all the other a slash b superstars they still

[00:29:11] have uh first round retreads that they picked up right and uh yeah that's a pretty impressive lineup

[00:29:19] but it does show that he can work with those types of players he's actually pretty interesting to me

[00:29:24] I think I might gut wise it just all of a sudden this is the first time I thought about it I

[00:29:28] think I might actually like him over Keith okay I don't know why it's just a gut right now but

[00:29:37] I don't think he should have been um let go of Edmonton as soon as he was either I think that

[00:29:42] was awfully short and uh I think that Edmonton probably still has at least the same amount of

[00:29:47] success with him if they stuck with him they would have turned it around yeah that's that's

[00:29:53] yeah the fact that I don't even know um who was it Chris Knoblock came in I I don't think that Knoblock

[00:29:59] walking in that door is what turned it around for them they were getting abysmal goals hanging

[00:30:04] early on in the year and then you know like I said Knoblock comes in and Woodcrofts is out

[00:30:11] the door and Skinner starts playing like he you know normally should and started really playing

[00:30:16] well and then the team just takes off and I think even McDavid was injured a little bit

[00:30:20] early on in the season he wasn't 100% so I do think they jumped the gun there with firing him

[00:30:27] I like him too I like Jay Woodcroft as an option and I don't know much about him only because

[00:30:34] it's in Ottawa I mean Edmonton we don't get to watch a ton of Edmonton games um but it's a

[00:30:40] scary team and he kept it together and when you have superstars like that sometimes that's not

[00:30:44] always the case uh well you got to keep egos in check and you got to make sure that you're

[00:30:49] you know you're getting the best out of these guys some of these guys can be divas and I'm not

[00:30:52] saying that anybody on that team is but we know they can be uh so I give them I give them credit

[00:30:58] with that so I like Jay Woodcroft too what about you guys I mean I probably put him around the

[00:31:05] same level as Keith he's towards the bottom of um my my wants for the team but it's not bad

[00:31:12] none of these are bad choices right I can see you know being okay with any of them

[00:31:17] I'm the same as Dan I'd hate to be at the bottom of my list too but not an awful choice

[00:31:23] well here's the last two and these are the guys that are not quote unquote available

[00:31:28] as of this moment and that's Mike Sullivan we uh and Rod Brindlemore so we'll talk about those

[00:31:34] guys so Sullivan um I don't it's so weird what's going on there like it he doesn't seem like

[00:31:42] he's happy there um it seems like uh they're kind of micro managing his assistants a little bit down

[00:31:50] there getting rid of some guys that I know that he really likes um you know they've been just

[00:31:57] talk right for the last few years they're not doing anything they're not going anywhere

[00:32:03] and now that you have new GM and new management up there over last year

[00:32:09] there's a chance that they might want to move on from Sullivan and there's a chance that Sullivan might

[00:32:13] want to move on from them uh because I think their runs of are done I mean we know that so Mike Sullivan

[00:32:20] now you're essentially going to just whoever takes that job and yeah they can not saying they're

[00:32:25] never gonna pop up and have a run or whatever but I'm just saying most likely they're not

[00:32:30] and whoever takes that head coaching job it's just you know let's make sure that Sid

[00:32:35] goes out on the best possible note however long that is and I don't know Sullivan's

[00:32:41] signing up for that so if Sullivan becomes uh available and we'll go over his numbers to me

[00:32:48] he's my number one he's the guy I would definitely want to have over anybody else

[00:32:53] even Rod Brindlemore but Mike Sullivan 11 years as a head coach he's 56 he did two years in Boston

[00:33:00] 164 games coached 70 wins 56 losses 15 ties 223 otls for a 543 winning percentage in Boston the playoffs

[00:33:12] were just seven games three and four four four 29 then like we know seven years in Pittsburgh

[00:33:19] 671 games 375 wins 219 losses 77 overtime losses 616 winning percentage

[00:33:28] 82 games coached in the playoffs he's 44 and 38 with a 537 winning percentage back to back

[00:33:36] Stanley Cups his career 835 845 and 27 I'm sorry what is that 270 uh yeah so 835 games coached

[00:33:50] 445 wins 275 losses 15 ties 100 overtime losses for a winning percentage of 602 that's his career

[00:34:01] I like Mike Sullivan man I mean he has everything that we're looking for in a coach can he deal with

[00:34:07] superstars and get them to get the best out of them absolutely does the systems work yeah

[00:34:13] does he have winning pedigree yeah I mean I just think Mike Sullivan is the no-brainer guy I would

[00:34:20] absolutely take him number one overall yeah he's like my number three behind two other guys were

[00:34:26] not likely to get either so you know I like him I gotta say I mentioned the parallels before with

[00:34:33] Edmonton there's even more direct parallels with the way the Pittsburgh teams of those

[00:34:38] championship years are constructed that's the way we're looking to be constructed right the type

[00:34:42] of superstar players we have like Pittsburgh because when you're talking about it mcdavid

[00:34:48] he's like an anomaly I mean the guy's like eight feet tall and he's still the fastest guy on the

[00:34:52] planet like it's just kind of weird how good he is but you can look at like the Sydney Malkin

[00:34:57] and their guys in the blue line that is very similar to what the devil's blueprint

[00:35:03] is going forward and we do know his systems work so yeah he's very interesting option

[00:35:08] if he were to become a level tone Mike Sullivan buddy yeah I take him I think he's a good

[00:35:14] good coach I mean I don't know if he's gonna be available but I would definitely put him on there

[00:35:19] he'd be in the middle of my list I would still go I would still go up Ruby fight first

[00:35:24] even over the last guy on the list Rob Brinamore and I think a lot of what

[00:35:30] it happens with Rob Brinamore is going to be decided either tonight or over the next few

[00:35:34] days with this series because look he's been in Carolina six years he's 53 years old he's coached

[00:35:43] his career 452 games he's 278 130 and 44 664 winning percentage in the regular season the dude

[00:35:53] that his teams don't lose then the playoffs and 71 games 36 and 35 and if they lose tonight

[00:36:02] it'll be a straight up 500 right now he's 507 and I love Rod Brinamore and he's made it out of the

[00:36:11] first round every year he's coached except for 2020 which wasn't a real year 2021 they lost in

[00:36:22] five in round two 22 they lost in seven in round two 23 last year they were swept in the

[00:36:27] Asian Conference finals and this year it looks like they're going to go out in four or five

[00:36:31] against the Rangers in round two so Brinamore is a great coach but he cannot get this team over the

[00:36:38] hump and I think there's going to be a time where management because he's going to want to get paid

[00:36:46] dude that's straight up he's this guy's going to want to be paid one of the highest in the

[00:36:50] league if not the highest and he fucking deserves it so Carolina who just they don't like to pay

[00:36:57] people are they going to look at this and say well maybe we need some a new voice in this room

[00:37:02] possibly I think they would be completely fucking just the dumbest thing you could do is let Rod

[00:37:08] Brinamore walk out the door but we've all seen teams do really stupid shit so maybe they will

[00:37:16] I love Brinamore but again I mean he cannot get over that hump what do you guys think

[00:37:22] Brinamore as the head coach of the Devils? I think one of the big reasons he didn't get over the hump

[00:37:29] was you know that Carolina's weakness has been goal-tending you know they're not and had the

[00:37:34] solid goal-tending I don't put a lot of that on him I also think that he's really good walking

[00:37:40] that line he's my number one and I'll take Barubi as a number two because Brinamore is a better

[00:37:45] Barubi he can be that fierce motivating guy and he can also do it in a way that I think is more

[00:37:51] relatable than a Barubi type so you know going the Sullivan route makes a lot of sense too so

[00:37:59] you could kind of see it either way with that being my two or three but Brinamore I think has

[00:38:04] the best of both worlds when you look at my two and three Barubi and Sullivan so you would go

[00:38:09] I like I like Brinamore he's a good fit for these guys so you'd go Brinamore one Barubi two Sullivan

[00:38:16] three and then Keith for Woodcroft yeah and I'm still up in the air about Keith for Woodcroft

[00:38:22] I don't know they're like five or four Rod Brin yeah I like I did I think I did a pitch for him on

[00:38:28] Sunday I'm a Brinamore guy I would like to see him yeah I mean that would be the guy I would

[00:38:33] if he's available for some reason I just can't pitch Carolina letting that happen but if there's

[00:38:38] anything that could give us more of a chance obviously would be the playoff run they've had

[00:38:42] this season but yeah Brinamore would definitely be someone I would be interested in on the team

[00:38:47] who's your number one so I was going with guys that I would think are available so if

[00:38:54] Brinamore was available I would take Brinamore yeah so do I think Brubi could be

[00:38:58] Brubi could be the better pick even I could be wrong but I would go with Brinamore myself

[00:39:03] okay Bobby um first of all I think that the only way that he would leave Carolina is

[00:39:10] that's management that's making that decision I think he loves it that much there and I think

[00:39:15] sure he probably wants a little more money because he deserves it but I don't think he needs to

[00:39:19] break any records so I really don't think it's going to happen it's my way of saying that

[00:39:22] but that being said I mean they were supposed to take another step forward and again whatever

[00:39:28] happens tonight coming back from 3-0 is highly unlikely not that they can't but it's highly

[00:39:33] unlikely so it's going to look like a failed season for them this is not a team that was expected

[00:39:38] to yeah maybe make the playoff and make some noise this is a team literally expected to win so it

[00:39:42] is getting a little tired down there for them but I don't think he's going anywhere but if he did

[00:39:45] Dan just summed it up in the best way for him he's a better Brubi and I like that line and

[00:39:50] I agree so he would be my number one although I do not think he's available now I mean

[00:39:56] you can't judge the man's success with just six years and the fact that he hasn't gotten over the

[00:40:01] hump I do not believe that he's too good of a coach for Carolina to let go and I agree with

[00:40:08] everything that everybody said but you look at it too what happens with you know if

[00:40:15] if management does feel like maybe going another way and this guy becomes available I think you're

[00:40:20] gonna have a circus between and I think that you're gonna have teams like Toronto Toronto

[00:40:25] throw a shitload of money at this guy here's 10 million yeah yeah exactly and it's going to be

[00:40:31] really difficult to get Rod Brinamore but I would love to see what Rod Brinamore could do with this

[00:40:36] talent and the guys that are on this team I would love to see it so my Bob so who's your

[00:40:44] number one um yeah so I'd go Brinamore number one and I think as of tonight I've convinced

[00:40:52] myself that Sullivan might be number two um Ruby three would cross four keep five okay so I go Sullivan

[00:41:03] one Brinamore two Keith three would cross for Barubi five now you fell off at Barubi hard we did

[00:41:16] yeah I did and a lot of it comes down to how much how disliked he was uh at the end up there in

[00:41:24] St. Louis and that worries me I just don't like I said before I don't want to have a guy come in and

[00:41:29] in three two three years we're looking for another coach you know what else worried me about here

[00:41:34] it's like not that crazy short of a tenure I see what you're saying it'd be nice to have

[00:41:39] a little bit longer stability but like picture this maybe he's kind of like the antidote to these

[00:41:46] like I mean look at our team this year look how inconsistent we were look how unaccountable

[00:41:52] we were look how you know these implosions and just everybody's shrugging their shoulders and it was

[00:41:57] just he made Jordan Cairo cry I think we might need some guys to cry how would you feel if in an

[00:42:06] interview Jackie who's started crying I mean I feel like maybe we're getting somewhere maybe we

[00:42:12] could trade him for a good job I think we've made a breakthrough yeah all right now that we

[00:42:17] tore him down we could build him back up again get him some gato and we'll be all right

[00:42:24] look I would be I would be happy with any guy on this list notice none of us said anything about

[00:42:30] top McClellan we all forgot he was he oh yeah he's a yeah that's right I'm looking at his name

[00:42:34] and I forgot he was on the list because I tarred his name with his legacy as a bad civil war general

[00:42:41] and um you know we're lucky we won that war dan you're right it's all gonna help from a

[00:42:46] call and I'll tell you that yeah so I I think Craig Barubi would be good as a head coach here

[00:42:53] but I do think it would be short term and maybe two or three years you're right is you know the

[00:42:57] normal I guess run that head coaches have but I just look at teams like Tampa Bay and I say you

[00:43:04] know you just incorporate John Cooper along with all those other guys and all their success

[00:43:10] like they never did it with anyone else they did it with Cooper and he'll be there as long as he

[00:43:16] wants to be and I think that's what's gonna happen we'll burn the more in Carolina I would be

[00:43:20] a call I would be very surprised if Carolina if this guy ever coaches anywhere else I mean

[00:43:25] you just you know he's gonna win a cup there his teams will win a cup um and you already won

[00:43:31] a cup there I mean yeah I mean as a coach right but I mean he's beloved and kind of embedded in that

[00:43:36] organization it's kind of a little bit of a pipe dream that think that we could get him

[00:43:40] but for now we can dream pipe dreams right so uh and I I think Mike Sullivan just like every

[00:43:47] like Bobby you were right like the model that Pittsburgh Bill is kind of very similar model

[00:43:53] to what Fitzgerald's trying to do and back-to-back cups man it worked so I mean let's

[00:44:01] see what happens we'll see and also I forgot David Carl who we talked about from University of Denver

[00:44:08] I put him high on this list too I would be very happy with David Carl you know no NHL right no

[00:44:15] NHL experience the more I was against that completely the more we keep talking about

[00:44:21] these same retreads and the same names and then looking at some of these things

[00:44:26] he's been sticking out to me again like you know what maybe this is the shot

[00:44:28] maybe this is something you go with it's different I read an article that or I saw somewhere that LA

[00:44:34] the Kings are kind of kicking the tires on him so he's getting he had come out saying he'd be

[00:44:42] more than happy like he's planning on just going back to University of Denver so I mean that could

[00:44:47] just be for you know you know posturing for Denver people I'm just now I'm not going anywhere

[00:44:54] but he does have his eye on the NHL so I really like the idea of like you said a guy that's never

[00:45:00] coached in the NHL who's had nothing but success his uh I was talking to uh Michael before and

[00:45:08] he made a good point about Carl it's uh about his youth he started coaching when he was 19 I

[00:45:14] think he's like 34 or something now so if he started coaching at a normal age he would

[00:45:19] basically be like a 50-something year old guy coaching and you wouldn't even think about

[00:45:23] you know how many stupid things I was doing at 19 yes I was coaching you were there

[00:45:28] wasn't coaching Hagi it's incredible Bobby you told me that it wasn't stupid

[00:45:34] I totally lied it was awful I don't have any regret terribly stupid and so was the next

[00:45:38] 10 15 years so you guys want to play a game maybe get the robot wants to play

[00:45:49] I don't get the wrong button sorry who won did I miss this also we're not

[00:45:55] going to put it in post the uncle idiots I know I am such a moron somebody shall we play game over

[00:46:06] the duties here oh boy shall we play game duties

[00:46:13] whatever you know whatever you know whatever you know

[00:46:15] buckle up boys and girls it is time for the devil you know on the uncle pucker new jersey

[00:46:21] devil podcast

[00:46:25] right it's a little fun in new jersey devil podcast history boys and girls it's a devil you

[00:46:30] know tonight I will be the clue giver I will give clues of former new jersey devil players

[00:46:35] and Tony dan and Bobby have to guess the correct devil they get three incorrect guesses before they

[00:46:43] are eliminated they can ask me any question they want I cannot answer it's completely up to me

[00:46:48] I don't think I went through all my notes from last season but I also think I've lost a notebook

[00:46:54] that had some guys in it so I really hope we didn't do this guy yet I don't think we did

[00:46:59] but let me know when you're ready boys I just need a minute okay now I'm ready okay good I'm gonna go

[00:47:08] one of the things that Bobby likes to do this former new master bait

[00:47:21] he was born the year that dances with wolves won best picture anybody want to take a crack at

[00:47:28] when they think uh dances with wolves one of the nineteen ninety two 94 maybe Tony's closest

[00:47:36] 91 91 he was born in 1991 he has played for six NHL teams he's a left shooting left winger he is

[00:47:49] 61 anyways 205 pounds to help you wait for six left winger you said I did um okay he made his NHL

[00:48:07] debut on october 7 2010 beating the Calgary flames that's his NHL debut with the devils no it's not

[00:48:18] with the devils uh that's the information there yes his first goal as a devil was on october 18th

[00:48:30] 2016 against the mighty ducks of anaheim okay um see these I don't want you to get this too quick

[00:48:45] he won back-to-back memorial cups with the Windsor spitfires

[00:48:55] nothing he's a five-time all-star his father played in the CFL Canadian football league

[00:49:05] and was a canadian bobsledder his dad not him that's good nothing nothing nothing uh

[00:49:15] I'm trying to think all the bobsledders I know hold on the teams he played for the teams he played for

[00:49:23] and this is in no particular order buffalo chicago the devils the Bruins the oilers and the yokes

[00:49:38] nothing nothing when did he play with Arizona do you have those years available I believe

[00:49:49] he played with Arizona in around 2018 I don't I think he played like a year and a half and then

[00:49:59] he was traded at the deadline did we trade him to Arizona I don't want to answer that we traded him

[00:50:08] to Arizona yeah I would think so yeah he would play with us in 16 he played with Arizona in 18

[00:50:15] we traded this person Taylor Hall who did we get for we traded in 2018 2019 with Blake Spears

[00:50:23] Buffalo Nick Merkley and Kevin Ball it is Taylor I was thinking about Taylor Hall like immediately

[00:50:31] I think when we were talking height and weight yeah I don't even know why I didn't even say anything

[00:50:36] actually I was thinking that's crazy that's all so many that would have given them away right

[00:50:40] away first overall pick in the 2010 entry draft heart trophy had a credit six game point streak

[00:50:47] with the devils that ended on March 8th in a 3-2 loss to the Jets he had 93 points and dragged

[00:50:53] New Jersey to the playoffs for the first time in 2012 we're in the heart trophy so credit

[00:51:00] credit for the ball to try to do those those players that are that significant are very

[00:51:04] hard to get clues for I saw you struggling how much you didn't want to give it away that

[00:51:08] quick I got a couple guys I still want to do and I've tried to figure out the clues and I just

[00:51:14] can't get there if you gotta buy some obscure shit it's tough but I don't like doing guys so obscure

[00:51:20] that you know we're getting to the point where we're giving out initials you know I'd like to

[00:51:24] make it at least kind of best was Dan's the one day the guy had two games I did that in uh

[00:51:34] at no notice so that's which I thought was awesome but at the same time why didn't you just say guys

[00:51:41] I thought we didn't do what's his name whoever it was I almost go on yeah I guess I think it's

[00:51:47] gonna be funny moment when we do repeat because we're still probably won't get it

[00:51:52] I'll still take just as long we're getting C9 done yeah all right somebody do your Miyagawa next

[00:51:57] and see if we get them that's what I was gonna do next week

[00:52:02] you shit me we did yaga right Chris was basically like Bob you have check in you this player his

[00:52:07] check goes a bargain I don't know he's got long hair

[00:52:15] yeah you did have his haircut for a while it was a little shorter Tony's got Kenny D

[00:52:22] yeah Kenny D me without when especially when he got the perm he looked just like Kenny D right

[00:52:27] Bobby yeah sure oh my room

[00:52:35] coming to you live from the uncle puckers news desk in the basement somewhere in Lithuania

[00:52:42] sports politics current events and entertainment it's the news of the day with Tony A

[00:52:50] that is our that sound it needs to go up for some kind of word I don't know what kind of word they

[00:52:55] have a casting how do you follow that shit up you tell a good Florida man story Tony yeah no

[00:53:00] far yeah you have to hope that's a Florida man like about this segment there's no there's never

[00:53:05] any numbers in it we have so many numbers in our show I know I feel like all I do is write

[00:53:09] numbers yeah it's a lot of number free show next show well it's you know it's necessary I got it

[00:53:16] yeah what you got Tony well just you know let me see here well first of all Dan I figured as you

[00:53:21] probably knew about this already but Steve Albany died right this week yes you know he worked on a

[00:53:26] lot of records that we grew up on you know he obviously worked with the pixies Nirvana the

[00:53:30] breeders the Jesus Slazer everyone I mean yeah he passed I think at a heart attack

[00:53:35] he was what 61 years old so he wasn't even that old but I figured you would definitely

[00:53:39] know about that yeah I did hear it all over the place we were at went to a show on Wednesday and

[00:53:45] I heard it there the opening act for December as they brought it up and there was like some

[00:53:50] young band so I was like really impressed that they even knew them you know but um

[00:53:55] yeah that was that was something definitely it was a December show pretty good pretty good

[00:54:00] yeah it was it was fun seeing them we saw them in uh so bad yeah they're they're they're really good

[00:54:07] we saw them in in Philly and uh the problem with there was the philadelphia but other than that there

[00:54:14] was a nice place to fill more have you ever been there oh yeah I've been there I haven't been there

[00:54:17] yeah I've never been there before I like yeah it's a cool place they definitely oversell that

[00:54:22] place it was packed and it's not that big of a room not that big it was packed and it had a philly aroma

[00:54:31] yeah that's where we saw Frank Turner last summer and it was it was such a great place to see a show

[00:54:37] though man it was I liked it I did like it I didn't even know the detembers were playing there I

[00:54:41] would have went I think yeah that's where I had standing room right in front of the stage for

[00:54:44] better bill over oh really oh yeah sorry about that no dude I don't care dude they're fun better than

[00:54:52] Ezra with hoody and the blowfish tonight sweet we were thinking about going to DC let's go last night

[00:54:58] to see them but uh again but um we had Tracy Morgan tickets so jokes on you guys I just made friends

[00:55:05] with two percent of our audience that likes better than Ezra oh yeah that's great this is definitely

[00:55:09] gonna pump up the numbers but yeah to get to see Tracy Chapman Tracy Morgan oh I thought you said yeah

[00:55:19] difference trying to make a fast car joke huge

[00:55:24] no Tracy Morgan you got to take any car but get hit by a Walmart truck and then that's how you see him

[00:55:31] how was Tracy more he's fucking insane he's he's so fucked up first of all he sits like in a bigger

[00:55:38] slouch than I do like he's like this in a chair he doesn't even try to stand up it's stand up sit down

[00:55:44] stand up and he's got paper next to him the whole time that he's looking over and he it's I mean I can't

[00:55:51] say he's not funny he's totally funny he's just insane he's lost his mind yeah um was it more of like

[00:56:00] cringy like or a lot of it was kind of cringy no it was a mix because he's still himself and

[00:56:07] what's funny about him is just you know the way he delivers anything but right he literally had some

[00:56:12] jokes that did not go over and like I think he got a little confused and he was just he kind of one

[00:56:19] joke he whatever the setup was which I forgot now the punchline was she said burr and nobody in that

[00:56:27] place got it and he saw even like repeated and he goes you don't get it and then he just

[00:56:32] he had a heckler this guy was about 350 pounds and like the three hundred and three pounds why do you

[00:56:42] think that heckling at a comedy show is a good idea because what else do you have to do at least

[00:56:47] you're getting out of the house saying you were way too patient might as well have a fucking target

[00:56:51] on your shirt he was he was just definitely met remember Chris got heckled by Jim Norton

[00:56:56] he went to the bathroom oh I did was get up and go pee well shouldn't have been drinking

[00:57:00] show no Norton laid into a man it was very uncomfortable I'm like I'm not saying this guy

[00:57:06] that's awesome I love you Norton serial killer he yeah he went all the way to serial killer

[00:57:12] ball guy to ball guy I don't know what's going on yeah oh you look at everything so what do you do with

[00:57:16] the heckler uh he was just allowed to get off my dick you know this stuff like that just you

[00:57:22] know who you can't do Tracy Morgan he's just he's himself um he didn't like turn into like a whole

[00:57:27] crazy fun thing and they eventually escorted him out and that was that oh it was that bad huh they had to

[00:57:33] leave uh well yeah they got Tracy Morgan or the guy no the heckler they but they needed to get all

[00:57:40] the security and a cop because this guy was huge you were not going to pick him up by yourself

[00:57:44] I don't care if you're a healthy sized guy or not he was literally like I'm I was an exaggerating

[00:57:49] he's about 350 pounds he's a huge man and uh just you know old moved slowly when he did get

[00:57:55] up he was definitely like whacked out of his mind um but yeah that was kind of funny that sounds fun

[00:58:02] I'm sure you guys talked about the last episode the uh the roast to Tom Brady but wasn't that great I mean

[00:58:09] it was awesome it was so nice to see like I felt like we went back like 10 years ago where you can

[00:58:13] actually be funny and say some shit because there was like a three-year period where everyone's

[00:58:17] shirts were a little too like the collars a little too tight no one could say shit it was a

[00:58:22] I thought it was really impressive um it was what's his name fucking uh

[00:58:27] what was what was that female comedian she was awesome Nicky blazer oh man she was great I mean

[00:58:32] Nicky blazer is like getting as popular as Taylor Swift this week I mean she's fucking everywhere

[00:58:38] she's on every sports station every podcast really everywhere now um she killed it I mean she was

[00:58:45] hysterical yeah it was great it's rare that I get a chance to watch we have like the three-year

[00:58:49] old and a five-year-old it's like to watch tv at this house is like an obstacle but we've made my

[00:58:54] wife did watch that and I have to give Tom Brady some credit it was he took it and Jeff Ross

[00:59:01] there was a lot of shit that you know was just like wow I cannot believe they fucking went there

[00:59:06] and then the massage joke was great yeah that was the one thing that they all all the comics

[00:59:12] said that that was off limits like no oh really so I didn't know about that yeah no bob craft

[00:59:17] jose it's a one thing Tom said and all the comedians all the comics and everybody decided

[00:59:21] together to like not to bring his kids into it because you know they don't deserve that shit

[00:59:25] but Giselle was on limit you know she wasn't offline nothing was um and I loved when Tom got up at

[00:59:32] the end and it was like uh you guys remember deflate gate right now the NHL and Roger Goodell

[00:59:39] spent 20 million dollars in the deflate gate investigation you should have just given me

[00:59:44] the 20 million dollars and I want to tell you I fucking did it I thought that was awesome like

[00:59:49] the dude just admitted the cheating um but yeah it was awesome all the way I loved with

[00:59:53] garkowski how like the constant at first it's like he didn't get it almost like the whole joke

[00:59:59] when nickie glazier cut that joke when Tom lost all that money and the caveman

[01:00:05] even bronx said me know that not real money that was the best that was to me that was the

[01:00:11] best part actually out of all of it I was just like that is just perfect the best joke

[01:00:16] I thought she had was when she said that she would shoot her boyfriend in the head

[01:00:25] kids are dressing up like Tom's dick for chris for halloween

[01:00:29] I thought it was really funny I thought all the comics were hysterical and I thought the

[01:00:34] football player the guys that went out there that had no business being funny were hysterical

[01:00:38] I thought you killed it you have to give blood so credit because I mean the guy like

[01:00:44] he is kind of the the joke of the whole thing in a lot of ways but he was such a good sport you

[01:00:49] know I mean and the first time I ever saw personality in bill check I've never seen a

[01:00:53] personality in that guy and that was the first time I was okay the guy's a real human

[01:00:57] what did gronk say one thing about I think it was uh what tom what is uh I know how he

[01:01:04] deflated his balls it was julie and edelman

[01:01:10] it was excellent I mean like I said you it was like kind of like comedy made a little comeback

[01:01:14] because you know it's it just seems the last couple years have been so weird but

[01:01:19] other like famous athletes to do that because I I bet you there's a lot of them that were

[01:01:25] maybe thought about doing it and then watch that and we're like no way I'm not I am not

[01:01:29] putting myself in that line of fire man you know because Tom Brady think about it like he's

[01:01:33] just sitting up there and he's like I can sleep with any woman in this place right I got more money

[01:01:37] than anybody you don't care I got so many rings you know it's like he doesn't care it's like you

[01:01:42] because you know now if it's some one of us up there you're gonna feel like shit when you leave

[01:01:46] you know because yeah you're not getting your all your fancy cars and stuff but uh I don't know

[01:01:50] I mean did you guys know this other there's this comedian I just found this week Matt Reif

[01:01:55] no I never heard of him I don't know him really man this guy is really good definitely

[01:01:59] check him out I just found him this week on one of these comedy things and

[01:02:02] he's pretty crazy man but it's definitely worth checking out so let me see here so we got

[01:02:06] to Steve Albany bought us to the comedy thing to the roast so now Chris I actually got a story

[01:02:10] for you that I pulled tonight it's wrestling man it's wrestling Vince McMahon has you've

[01:02:17] kept up with any of Vince McMahon stuff going on sure okay so Vince McMahon has broke his silence

[01:02:23] didn't hold back as he made claims a former employee he accused him of sex trafficking

[01:02:27] and sexual harassment would sneak into his penthouse and into his bed at night

[01:02:31] then sneak back into her fiance's apartment which was in the same building

[01:02:35] so McMahon was actually has a bunch of charges against him from this woman including shitting on

[01:02:39] her head yeah while John Laurinitis who at the time was the director of talent relations

[01:02:45] with the wwe was banging her Vince shit on her head I see him dildos named after wrestlers

[01:02:52] did you hear that part best thing ever right yes his dildos Vince McMahon has a dildo collection

[01:02:59] and he names him and not only does he name him he names him after fucking wrestlers yeah

[01:03:06] we need to have uncle pucker dildos the bobby dildo the I'm not selling that dildo wait

[01:03:11] a minute why did the watcher hands move the bobby dildo I don't know I want the dildo

[01:03:22] I'll send you on nowhere he gets sick faster

[01:03:25] dude people will actually get dead to sit up in his chair this time so what is it

[01:03:30] what did we say so Vince said this basically that this woman was totally into it she was

[01:03:35] sneaking into his place I guess they lived in the same complex with her and her fiance yeah and if

[01:03:39] you read the the complaint like there was a lot of it that was this was a lot more like a it

[01:03:45] seemed to me like a grooming situation like Vince was promising her things and trying to you know

[01:03:51] and then and then just kind of keeping her around with a meaningless job she really didn't do anything

[01:03:57] and he gave her money and stuff just like it seemed to me like more of like this was a long

[01:04:02] term grooming thing like a lot of people are like why she was you know in this situation for

[01:04:07] like three or four years like why did she never say anything why and that's what I think it was

[01:04:12] but I mean she wanted like three million dollars right a husband yeah and Vince paid her a million

[01:04:17] of it they agreed she signed an NDA for three million dollars for her silence and he only paid

[01:04:25] her a million and then he stopped paying her that's the other thing about billionaires they don't

[01:04:29] pay their bills and they all want to fuck their daughters and they want to shit on your head I

[01:04:32] mean that is absolutely like how do you how does that even come up you know it is like that

[01:04:36] is like it's also a situation years old it might have been an accident let's be realistic here

[01:04:41] and you know I don't think Vince McMahon's a very nice man probably I'm sure like some

[01:04:45] shit's gone on in that place besides this no pun intended why does a man have a go-to collection

[01:04:50] I'm just I can't name after rest exactly why no I don't I honestly do not I'm trying to

[01:04:57] this whole story is way more entertaining than all the crap that is WWE the big show

[01:05:07] good name for this episode the big show

[01:05:09] so I had to throw that in there for you but yeah so I guess let me see here the lawsuit

[01:05:17] was filed in a kinetic fed up to Connecticut federal court um yeah so I thought that you know

[01:05:22] just the entertaining story and it is a wrestling guy I'm telling you we should get a print out of

[01:05:27] the company and I'll read it we'll read it out Coco beware who said Coco beware

[01:05:33] he's bringing out an uncle put it around and then over here comes junkyard dog

[01:05:42] Jesus I love that he names his dildos after wrestlers oh that's great all right okay so here we go next

[01:05:50] yes I do a grave digger without even a wrestler's head just a truck that's an undertaker I don't

[01:05:56] want to shit police police a brazil arrest Bobby's killed those names

[01:06:04] graves the grave digger yeah it makes sense out of ryan graves okay

[01:06:11] what's that mom you have coming by

[01:06:14] sick bastard what'd you just say no one's foot

[01:06:18] yeah big foot

[01:06:23] the offseason quality is just blooming

[01:06:27] okay police from brazil arrested a woman who drug her dead uncle into the bank to withdraw

[01:06:32] three thousand dollars cash I actually watched there's a video of this yeah we're gonna burn his style

[01:06:37] um there's a video of the corpse being wheelchirred into the bank the woman had to keep adjusting

[01:06:43] him so his head was slumping over and his video shows him give her the money give her the money

[01:06:49] she went through all this trouble and he doesn't need it there's a fucking crime give her the money

[01:06:56] so in the video there's a there's actually him her trying to get him to hold a pen and sign documents

[01:07:02] that's awesome there's actually video of this too it was that you know usually I always try to make

[01:07:06] sure the shit's not totally like make sure this is legit she's trying to marry in at him like

[01:07:11] the pen is just glued in his hand and still invisible fishing line

[01:07:16] what in god's name would make you think this would work

[01:07:20] matt at birdies a lot of math a lot of there's precedent for it

[01:07:30] and this was a florida story you said tony nuths brazil oh okay wow sure they tried in florida

[01:07:36] she tried to use the excuse that he was still alive but uh he had died the police had determined

[01:07:40] he had died a few hours earlier and she has been arrested and will face charges i mean oh so was

[01:07:47] that fresh anybody that on the way to the bank and he legit died like on the way right he was gonna

[01:07:53] die on me son of a bitch you owe me you didn't use fucking well my two dollars what's our sports betting

[01:08:02] name again what is it what traffic whatever that one is never mind then exactly what we've been fired

[01:08:07] from the hockey podcast network no no we are still part of the hockey podcast now work with the

[01:08:14] they'll have anybody making a few changes in the next few months that's all

[01:08:24] okay but a marilane high school

[01:08:30] what was that we got one more left here on this on the news bracket wait a minute you said marilane

[01:08:34] there's no florida no florida today i figured you had that cover since you were in florida

[01:08:39] alligators

[01:08:42] catch a release catch a release jersey man down in florida he's down with a baby alligator

[01:08:51] shoved up his ass why is everything got me ass ass and mouth bobby okay ask to mouth we'll go

[01:09:00] you asked vitz McMahon that question never you've never oh my god read the story

[01:09:10] you've never touched a balloon knot what okay here

[01:09:15] a marilane high school athletic director is facing criminal charges after he used a i to duplicate

[01:09:21] the voice of a pikes down high school principal not gonna say the guy's name saying racist and

[01:09:27] anti-semitic things about his teachers and students now this is a problem with this a i ship

[01:09:32] which is going to be a big issue eventually wait so long everybody has it out now that's not me

[01:09:37] that's a i that that's another thing that is the reverse of that um so this guy i guess this

[01:09:42] athletic director basically made fake a i voice of his principal talking shit you know about his

[01:09:48] students about the teachers and you know as crazy as it is this is going to become a big thing

[01:09:55] i mean eventually you think about it it's going to come to a point in life where you're

[01:09:58] gonna have to worry about and i guarantee you in the next year we're going to see this where

[01:10:01] music artists get busted for not even writing songs they're just throwing ideas into shit and

[01:10:06] it's gonna because these ai machines can come up with verse chorus all that stuff i just can't

[01:10:10] wait till we can ai the uncle punker show yeah that's right and then i can't make it to

[01:10:15] maybe there'll be less ass jokes about bob we could program it to do more ass jokes

[01:10:21] but that is the thing like you can have it learn your voice in a fairly short amount of time and

[01:10:27] then have it say whatever you want it to say which is dangerous man you're like running man remember

[01:10:31] running man yeah the dance or the movie yeah no but it's both the Arnold Schwarzenegger kick

[01:10:38] that in that dancing scene um no i'm being right like uh you know ben richards would they ai'd him

[01:10:44] to kill all those people yeah they had video of him killing people you know that's and we're there now

[01:10:51] right we are there and that's the thing too like uh the um political aspect of this like you know

[01:10:59] politician comes out like doing the same shit this guy it's athletic director did but maybe i mean

[01:11:04] how did they find out that it was not him i'm not sure how they found out but he does have a

[01:11:08] shitload of charges against me a stalking theft disruption of school operations at least in

[01:11:13] several other charges um he was released on five thousand dollars bomb but it doesn't say how they

[01:11:18] actually caught him but he he actually admitted it um but this is like you're gonna see

[01:11:23] do you think about it like you can even eventually people are going to be have

[01:11:26] blamed for affairs there's going to be videos of them with other men and women you don't even

[01:11:30] know if it's true or not you know yeah it is a slippery slope yeah interesting that's what you

[01:11:36] would come up with interesting well you know when i saw this story i thought there was no it's not

[01:11:43] to believe it if something comes out don't believe it it's not true i haven't out but everyone will

[01:11:48] have an out eventually because you're never going to know what's reality anymore it's pretty much

[01:11:51] you know the antidote is nobody believes the real shit real crazy shit that people say like you

[01:11:57] mentioned politics could you say any crazier shit than gets said today and nobody cares

[01:12:02] no i guess you're right if you could put the words in some politics it's about

[01:12:07] which of his followers would ever stop you know follow it doesn't matter what you could write

[01:12:13] you can write it right certain politicians you are a hundred percent right doing that would

[01:12:17] probably backfire and make that person more famous and more popular yeah but yeah it's a

[01:12:22] scary world out of smart ai didn't we yeah i guess we did um so i guess that's it for tonight

[01:12:28] hot on yeah make an ai of the raiders wouldn't super bowl that's here

[01:12:33] no it's artificially intelligence

[01:12:37] not god even ai won't do that he's like what are you fucking kidding me

[01:12:41] fumble at the end i guess we talked a little bit about hockey so that's good

[01:12:49] i think it's a pretty darn good show for you know middle play house without devil's hockey

[01:12:52] so that's good that's depressing i'm gonna go back and i guess watch the rangers when uh

[01:12:57] i think there's a lot of loss you know watch something does anybody know the outcome and
