Devils win in Detroit. News and rumors from around the NHL
Chris (00:02)
Hi, Bob. How was your Thanksgiving?
Bobby (00:05)
Hi Chris.
yeah, know, Thanksgiving is mostly good but it's also a time where people get together and argue about things they're not qualified to argue about. So that's always fun.
Chris (00:17)
See, we keep politics out of every conversation at Thanksgiving. And you guys did not, I guess. okay. Okay.
Bobby (00:24)
no, this was not political at all. Yeah, it was, I guess it could be portrayed as that, but it wasn't. was just an innocent enough conversation that started about electric cars. So I figured, okay, that's fine. know, though, irregardless of your political affiliation, I think you can, I can have this conversation. And it was a question posed to me and it was, so these charging stations, do they lock to your car? I'm like,
not that I know of. Like when you're plugging in an electric car, can you lock it so that you couldn't just simply remove it like somebody else? I said, not that I know of. I don't know why they would do that. And they said, well, what would stop somebody from just coming over and unplugging the car you're trying to charge? And I said, I don't know. Maybe the same human decency that people don't do that at a gas pump. Again, I'm not asking for this conversation. I'm just kind of getting pulled into it. So this wasn't good enough.
Chris (00:53)
What does that mean? Do they lock to your car? I don't know what that means.
Okay.
Right.
Bobby (01:23)
We move on and I mentioned I have a friend who's got a whole garage set up solar panels. They plug it inside the garage and it's great. And goes, okay, okay. It's like, they're good, they're safe. But what about the people who have it in their driveway? I said, what about them? Like, well, what's to stop people from unplugging their cars on them when they're plugged in and drive away? I'm like, again, I don't know. He's like, right, right. And then it goes, or worse, like, no, he's like, you're not following me.
Chris (01:44)
Because most people aren't dicks. I mean...
Bobby (01:53)
What if somebody just wanted to go up and like cut your cord? And I'm like, I see where this is going now. So I'm like, OK, so are you talking like a random act of violence? You're like, yeah. I'm like, OK. Then I would surmise that that would probably be as random as, picking up a brick and throwing it through your window. Sure, it might happen, but it's not really a problem. To which the person said, I don't want to talk to you about this anymore in a very angry tone. And I was like, I.
Chris (02:10)
Exactly.
Bobby (02:22)
didn't ask for this particular conversation on i i know where was going i think it was simply hatred towards electric cars by said person trying to manifest that this would result in like you know problems down the line for society because some people choose to have electric cars those i was very weird to say the least and the one thing i was able to get through that wasn't
angrily revoked was that I said, know, many, years ago when the combustion engines came out, I'm sure many people said the same thing about, that's great. Where are going to fill it? Where are you going to get gas? Because, you know, it takes time to kind of build the infrastructure for that. And then before you know it, boom, horse and buggy is gone and everybody's just fine. I'm like, we're probably going to be there, you know. But again, I didn't ask for it. I could just kind of tell where it was going. And it was just really awkward because I'm like, you know, you're really I'm just trying to, you know,
Chris (03:02)
Mm-hmm.
Bobby (03:22)
give you an answer to these questions and it got ugly.
Chris (03:24)
One of the things that I've noticed, and we don't talk politics on this show for a simple reason, that it's a fucking hockey podcast. So we, you know, we don't talk politics. think anybody that does listen to this show regularly can kind of get an idea of where we do stand because it's not like we keep it a secret. It's just not something we talk about. One of my biggest issues with this, the way that the country is so split is just the simple fact that one half
Bobby (03:34)
Exactly.
Chris (03:54)
needs to get in everybody else's fucking business. Such as, if I own an electric car and I'm plugging it in and you're a person that lives next door to me, is that really gonna bother you so much that I have an electric car that you're gonna come and cut my, you know, whatever? this is, know, would it happen? I'm sure it probably would or does or has, but like, is that something?
Bobby (04:21)
Sure. But was I over was I overstepping by suggesting that would be simply a random act of violence, no different than any other vandalism to your home? Right. Right. And and this is why I wanted to make sure it didn't go political at Thanksgiving, because I felt that it was probably stemming from the which one's better for the environment thing. Right. And let's not get into it. But there's people who, you know, batteries are worse than burning fossil fuels and all that kind of stuff. And I just
Chris (04:28)
No, not at all, not at all. You own it, it's on your property, you don't fuck with people's property.
Bobby (04:50)
Again, just thought it was, and again, I drive a Wrangler, frame listening. I drive a gas powered Wrangler. get shit gas mileage. I do also care about the environment and I made this decision because I don't drive to work. My gym's a mile away. My kids school's a mile away. I can walk to the grocery store. And it was just the right time for me to do it. But I have nothing against electric cars, nor do I particularly care for them at this particular moment. It's just something that is and it will be.
Chris (05:12)
It's funny that you brought up the electric car thing to begin with because we went over to my sister's house for dinner and then we ended up going to my sister-in-law's house for dessert and hanging out. So it was an awesome day. We had a great time. My daughter was home. It was the four of us all day. I just spent the day laughing, having a good time. So my niece, Devon, who she was there and she was having family at her
fiance's house, so she only came over for a little bit, but she's got a Tesla and So me and my son I was like that I'm like come on. I never driven one She's like yeah sure so she's like so she takes her phone out right and she's like do whatever she's like Okay, it's running. I'm like you just did that on your phone. She's like yeah We get in the Tesla me and my son
And I've never been in one, I've never driven one. So it's just the steering wheel and then the screen, like that's it. And holy shit, this car had balls. This thing was so fast. We were cruising up and down the road, went over to bridge, went over to the island. I mean, we were having fun. I mean, this thing is, it was awesome. Like everything about it was awesome. I mean, I...
Bobby (06:10)
Yes. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah.
Chris (06:31)
got back and first I called her because I'm trying to figure out how to turn the car off. So I parked and I call her like, Deb, how do you turn it off? She's like, well, is it in park? I said, yes, it's in park. She goes and just get out. like, it's gonna cause you can't hear it. I'm like, she's like, yeah, just get out. I get back inside. I'm like, Elon Musk might be a fucking douche, but he can make a car, man. This thing was awesome to drive. I know he didn't make the car. get all that right.
Bobby (06:45)
Yeah, right. You can't hear it, right.
Okay, well.
No,
Chris (07:02)
We will get to hockey, is that what you're trying to say?
Bobby (07:27)
Can we all admit at least one thing though, whatever that future truck thing that looks like it's made out of sheet metal, the cyber truck is the ugliest thing. Here's what I don't understand. Elon Musk, very smart man, richest man in the world, guess, right? Mostly book smart, obviously surrounded by intelligent people. there was a group of people whose collective salaries are more than we can ever imagine sitting around a table that all said, yes.
Chris (07:34)
The Cybertruck?
Yeah.
I agree.
Bobby (07:57)
Yes, that is the truck. That's the look. Let's go. How does that happen? How does that honestly happen?
Chris (08:00)
Now, I don't know, because I find them to be just god awful, ugly, ugly. And I see them everywhere now. So we went to, we drove up to Farmingdale to my sister-in-law's house and they have an absolutely gorgeous house, like four acres of land. And they have a Rivian, the electric truck. And just let your, whoever you're arguing with, their charger is also in their garage. So they're okay with that one. I don't know where my niece's charger is, but I got to find it. Cause her fiance also has a Tesla.
Bobby (08:05)
They're awful!
good, they're safe.
Chris (08:30)
double the vandalism. anyway, we went over there and I tell you, the Rivian pickup and the Rivian SUV, if I had $100,000 to spend on an automobile, I would go Rivian over Tesla any day of the week. And he said he blew a frigging Ferrari off the line with his Rivian SUV.
I beat, we kind of raced a little bit of a 911 on Route 37 and we took it. Like, the Tesla was awesome.
Bobby (09:02)
Yeah, I don't pretend to know everything about where the future's going. I know as a Jeep owner, believe, don't quote me on the date, but Jeep has come out and said it by whatever year, 15 years, 10 years, they, the worst gas mileage vehicle of all time, everyone wants the power of a Jeep, are going completely electric. If a Wrangler can go complete electric, I'm not concerned about performance. You know what I mean? Because they'll figure it out.
Chris (09:24)
No, the performance like when the F-150 came out and they had the electric one come out, like they had all those promo videos and stuff out, they had these things towing train trucks, three or four of them loaded up. This is how powerful they are. yeah, look, you're always going to have automobiles with combustible engines and you should. But electric is, look, every car maker on the planet is making, has a line of electric cars.
Bobby (09:37)
Yeah. Yeah.
Chris (09:54)
Because people like them. Yeah Right. Now. I mean like same as you. I don't have an electric car I drive a I drive a five-speed little Volkswagen Jetta, you know what I mean? Like
Bobby (09:56)
Usually three, they've got full electric, they got hybrid, and they got gas.
Right, but does it keep you up at night that in 20 years you may wake up and that's just the predominant way of transportation? I don't give a shit. Like whatever it is. I guess I'm falling in line if I do that, but I don't know. just feel like if that's where it goes, that's where it goes. I don't care.
Chris (10:10)
Of course not. Of course not.
Yeah.
You know, mean, there's pros and cons to each of them. I get that. But, you know, I think electric is, I mean, I have an electric lawnmower. have, I try and get as much as electric as I could. So yeah, one day I would love to have an electric.
Bobby (10:23)
Of
I'm naive like most people I'm always concerned about how long it takes to charge and all this kind of crap the show we went to in Lake City when we came back from James Addiction our friends took us there in their Tesla and you know what we had to do we had to stop a while on the way back they just wanted to be make sure they had enough you know quote-unquote gas fuel electric we plugged in the wah-wah and I was like here we go like this is where it's gonna suck right we were in we got our hoagies we did whatever we had to sit like four more minutes they got the equivalent of like you putting $20 a gas in your tank and then we were off on our way home
Chris (10:38)
Right.
Mm-hmm. Okay.
Bobby (11:02)
and put him a quarter tank of and we're all or quarter tank of electrical we're off on way home so no big deal
Chris (11:05)
Do you know what else was electric?
Bobby (11:10)
Boogie boogie woogie. No.
Chris (11:10)
boogie woogie. The Devils today, their offensive performance was electric. And we are now being joined by Tony. What's up, bud?
Bobby (11:14)
Yes.
Tony (11:18)
What's up guys, can you hear me okay? Good, good, good.
Bobby (11:20)
Hey man. Yeah, sound good.
Chris (11:21)
Tony, we're just gonna give you a minute here. You can vent.
Tony (11:27)
Dude, we should have beat the fucking Chiefs. you know, I mean, what a, I don't even know. Seriously, I was so disgusted during this game, cause I'm sure this is what you're referring to. had the, I actually had the devil's game on and the Raiders game. Hey, I give all the respect where it's deserved and stuff. And I know like Chris, I've heard you say you respect greatness and stuff, but you know what, man? I've said this, I said this when we lost to them this year already to Vegas. And I know Vegas sucks this year.
Chris (11:31)
you
Of course.
Tony (11:55)
but we could have beat them both times this year. And I was sick to my stomach today with that game, man, because for...
Chris (11:59)
The chiefs have a show me state sized horseshoe rammed right up their ass. cannot believe that you guys, yeah, you had them dead to rights.
Tony (12:08)
Do the officials, the officials, mean, you can't, it's like they're like the golden child of the NFL now. Chris, I'm an NFL guy. know the Raiders have had a really, first of all, Aiden O'Connell does great against the Chiefs for some reason. I don't know what it is. He had a good game, but I'm not a powder, but we should have beat them today, That was ridiculous at the end of that game and it was.
Chris (12:22)
Yeah, you played good today.
Tony (12:33)
You know, Chris, as a football guy, that was one of those where I almost wanted to throw up at the end of the game. I was so disgusted and just like, man, this season sucks. And I'm hoping that I was thinking, shit, we beat the Chiefs today, man. I'm going to be at the Raider game next weekend in Tampa. was like, maybe we'll have some vibes carrying over, you know? But that's all I'm going to say is we should have beat them today. And I think anybody who watches that game knows it.
Chris (12:55)
Well, that's the worst thing about football too, is like when you suffer a loss, it's like a whole week before you get to try and redeem yourself, you know, at least in hockey. Which I do want to just share this with you guys about the Devils. And this is why I have said a million times and so far I don't think that's going to stop how much I love this team, right?
So this inexplicable weird thing that when we lose it's always a shutout over the last four games, which is just mind-boggling and I can't figure that out. That's just weird. I don't... It's four in a row. The last four losses have been shutouts, but now look at this. Now you want to talk about a team that has matured, a team that, you know, just doesn't let any bad shit linger.
Tony (13:30)
Four in a row now, right?
Bobby (13:32)
It's really weird.
Chris (13:48)
November 1st and is all in the month of November too on November 1st We lost three nothing to Calgary the Linux game on the fourth a three nothing win against Edmonton on the 10th of October November a one nothing loss to the San Jose Sharks followed by a Four to one win against the Florida Panthers on the 12th Four days later on the 16th we get shut out
4-0 to Tampa Bay on the 21st a 4-2 win over Carolina. Now this is the games right after the shutouts and then the last game on the 27th a 3-0 loss shutout to St. Louis followed by the 5-4 win today at Detroit. This team does not let bad habits linger and I'm telling you man what an awesome team this is. Look as a fan today's game was a lot of
fun because it was you know back and forth you know there's also that I much rather a little bit tighter have that you know two goal cushion going into the third kind of thing but what do you guys think of today's game against against the wings Tom what do you think?
Tony (14:58)
of those. was a fun game. know, you got a bunch of Jack you's putting the puck in you got frickin. And we always we've been talking about Stefan Nason, Nason, man, I don't know. I mean, I'm starting to look at the light of sitting back now. You know, we're in we're in a bit. I'm like, No, is there a bigger addition than this dude? Like, you know, and I liked him when he was here before. But I mean, he's just, he's involved, man. He's just, you know,
Chris (15:04)
Five different goal scorers?
He's a net front beast. No.
Tony (15:25)
Yeah, I mean...
Bobby (15:27)
Doesn't give up. was no quit on that goal on his that I mean that was just crashing in that for what seemed like two minutes straight, you know
Tony (15:32)
Luke. Yeah, I Luke put one in. I mean, it was a fun game. mean, of course I had both. was like torn at the heart man because I got like I had both screens go and I had, you know, two setups where I had the both games on. So I was like, the devils would score then a flag would fly on the other games was a little frustrating. But, you know, the devils, I got to say, man, you know, they're you're going to lose some games and I don't get the whole shutout thing. Yeah, the shit just happens. It's a quirky year like that. But I mean, I liked what I saw today. You know, it was was an entertaining game.
Chris (15:34)
No, we didn't.
weird.
How about you, B? Yeah, it was.
Bobby (16:03)
Yeah, this is one of those games where you know as podcast hosts you just you got to kind of look at it you know you got to kind of bring up the things maybe that shouldn't happen the way they happen like yeah Marksman let one and maybe shouldn't let in and you got to you know couple out the fact that he stopped so many that probably should have went in you know it's just another game in a long season where the most important thing that I was impressed with is that they won they got the two points.
They did what they had to do. All the games are different like you always say, right? I mean, we're down to nothing after being shut out and what was considered a disappointment. You know, now everyone's thinking, here we go, right? It's Thanksgiving. They're just taking the whole week off. No, they didn't. They just climbed back in. They kept playing their game. They found another way to win. That's all that's going to matter after game 82. We're getting ready for the playoffs. We're not going remember how they won this game. We're going remember that they had to win this game and they did. And that's what this team's doing. So it's great.
Chris (16:57)
You know, I thought in the beginning, in the first period, they were way too preoccupied with the Rasmussen thing and just trying to go after him for that hit a month ago on Hughes, on Jack. you know, okay, know, Kovacevich drops the gloves and, you know, at least that gets over with. you know, it did, I thought it really hampered him in the beginning. You know, I thought that that was just way too much in their heads that, you know, we're not going to let him do this shit again and we're going to let him know right off and early. And because of that, I think,
part of the reason why you were down to nothing early on. But the fight back, the power play is ridiculous. I mean, you just kind of know at this point, like they're going to score a power play called door in a game. Like that's how good they are. They're just.
Bobby (17:40)
Right, you're not always gonna go three for four, but you could pretty much pencil them in for a goal on it.
Chris (17:44)
And then just zip it around. These guys don't quit. mean, and the thing I like best about today was, and we talked a little bit like on the last show or a couple of shows ago, like, you know, it's like, it's either Jack or it's Nico or it's Brad. Like, when are we going to kind of get them all? Like this was the game, right? Meyer scores, Nico scores, Jack scores, Nathan scores. That's what you want. You know, we're getting the depth, the depth scoring in that top six. And I was really happy with this game and exactly what you said about Markstrom, like,
Yeah, a couple of those goals you're like, dude, come on, but then some of his saves, you're just like, okay, that makes up for it. Like he just does such better on the high danger shit and he'll let that little flutter one go in, but then he'll make this ridiculous stops.
Bobby (18:30)
I mean there's one disturbing trend, you know, and that is what they mentioned. said we've let up the... that we've given up the first goal on the first shot against in three consecutive games and we've given up the first goal overall in six consecutive games. So it's not a recipe that you want to follow, but they're still sitting where they're sitting. easy. They're able to overcome it unlike last year. So it's not as big a concern. It's just kind of hockey.
You know, going back to beginning of this game, my whole thing was where is the fire? That's where I was thinking, you know, because of the history with the Red Wings recent history, I just, expected them to jump out more, but it doesn't matter. They did what they did. They do need to clean up that, you know, their starts. That's obvious. It's only just going to make life easier for them. They absolutely don't win this game last year. Right.
Chris (19:09)
Yes.
Tony (19:10)
This is a game you don't win last year. This is a game you lose last year.
Chris (19:16)
Well, I want to try, I want to do something here. So, you know, the old adage, right? If you're not in a playoff position by Thanksgiving, you're probably not making it. So let's take a look at the Eastern Conference right now. And I'm curious what you guys think of who's going to make it, who's not going to make it. And we'll start with the, we'll start with the Atlantic, right? So the Panthers are in first place. They have 29 points.
Bobby (19:30)
Yes.
Chris (19:42)
The Maple Leafs are in second with 28 points. The Lightning are in third with 26 points. You think those three teams, they're in, right?
Tony (19:51)
her in.
Bobby (19:54)
I mean I'm not overly confident on the lightning and their winning percentage it's it's near six but it's under but I don't see anybody really challenging them so yeah maybe they are in
Chris (20:05)
Okay. See, I think the top three in the Atlantic is, I think there's room for some of these teams to overtake, you you got the Bruins sitting on fourth with 25 points, and you have the Sabres sitting in right behind them with 24 points. So, right. So I do think that one of those two teams can make a play.
Bobby (20:25)
better winning percentage too.
Chris (20:29)
the sabers i think they both they are they both lost today i think the sabers lost and i think in overtime and then the Bruins lost in regulation to Pittsburgh but you know that so okay so we kind of think that yeah the Maple Leafs the Panthers they're in and the Lightning Bruins Sabers maybe they'll fight for the third spot and then we go to right then you got the Metropolitan which i think the top the top three
Bobby (20:50)
And there's still wild cards to consider there too, right? yes.
Chris (20:56)
is not gonna move. think, I mean, they'll move it maybe in their spots, but you got the Devils, the Devils sitting in first with 34 points, which I think might be the most points in the league. I think they might be number one in the NHL. And I know they...
Bobby (21:01)
within themselves.
and the winnipeg jets 36. Minnesota 34 is tied with us as well. They both played 23 games, we've played 26. But still, even to close that gap on the Winnipeg is quite incredible considering where they started off.
Chris (21:12)
Okay, so Nate, we've...
Wow.
Yeah.
Agree and Then you got the capital sitting in second with 33 points and the Hurricanes tied with them and third with 33 points So yeah now it's a lot closer in the Atlantic than it is in the metro because the Rangers are sitting in fourth place with 25 points There are eight points out of the top three. That's a lot to make up And then you got the Flyers are tied with them in points now the Rangers have two games in hand on them
Bobby (21:43)
That's crazy. Yeah.
Chris (21:52)
but the flyers are tied with them. Now, I think it's safe to say Devils, Capitals, Hurricanes are making the playoffs. So let's for shits and giggles say the Panthers, Maple Leafs, and Lightning are making the playoffs. Who are those two wild card spots gonna go to?
Bobby (22:10)
That's a great question because I said right now wild wild card spots one and two are both being held by 25 points Boston also has 25 but by virtue of the tiebreaker would not make the playoffs and then you'll get Sabres with 24 Blue jackets with 23 and then you get a little further down Detroit and the Islanders with 22 They're not out of it by any means but who's really gonna push for it? I don't know Rangers likely get one. I think
Chris (22:34)
Well, I mean the Rangers.
Bobby (22:39)
When all's said and done, they get one.
Chris (22:40)
They've lost five in a row. Flyers jumped all over to Emerald in that game today and they were up there to nothing early on and it would have been five or six if Igor was an Igor. I don't know, man. I think the Rangers are in trouble.
Bobby (22:53)
Mm-hmm.
Chris (22:58)
I think the Rangers are in serious trouble. Tell them what do you think?
Bobby (22:58)
Wouldn't that be great?
Tony (23:03)
wish I could, they're gonna weasel their way in man. I got no doubt about that. have no, know last year I think you had the Rangers out too, but I just can't, I want to, I want them out.
Chris (23:07)
I hope they make the playoffs.
Tony (23:15)
you know can't picture it happening and plus we always got to remember there's always the team the last couple seasons there's always a team that's gonna catch fire I'm not saying it's gonna be the Rangers but there's always that team that last month who just does some crazy shit and gets in so who's that gonna be you know who is gonna be that team the Rangers man I would love to see them miss it I just I could picture them weasel
Chris (23:34)
Well, who would you guys like to see catch somebody and make a wild card? Because I would love to see the Blue Jackets get in.
Tony (23:46)
Only because of their story, wouldn't mind it because of what they've dealt with. I've never been a Blue Jackets fan and we've even been educated what a Blue Jacket really is. You know, but I mean, because of what they've dealt with, hey, how could you not? gotta be an asshole not to hope the team doesn't have some kind of storyline going on.
Bobby (23:47)
Yeah, that's-
Chris (23:47)
Yes.
Yeah.
And I'd like to see, I mean, I'd like to see the Sabres get in. It's been long enough. I'd like to see those, you don't like the Sabres, tone.
Tony (24:15)
I don't know that I don't like the Sabres, but I know the last couple of seasons we all thought that the Sabres were gonna kind of be that team that started, know, they were like kind of in that path, like the devil's like, okay, it's time to get, you know, to get it done.
Bobby (24:22)
Right. Get over the hump.
Chris (24:26)
They're right there though.
Bobby (24:28)
It's all the reason that I can see them maybe making that Cinderella run and it'll get cut real short, but just kind of getting there. I think I penciled in. Tony, what'd say? Not okay.
Tony (24:34)
But I'd like to see him not.
Chris (24:36)
What'd you say, Tom?
Tony (24:39)
I would like to see him kind of knock it only because I've I've expected them the last couple of seasons to be better and better and better. But you know, like you could be right that that is a team. I mean, like I said, I have to like your your heart has to pull for Columbus.
Bobby (24:56)
Yeah, it does. But I'm going to go with where I think I picked way before the season started, that the Detroit Red Wings will be the last team in. So I can see them going on a small run. I don't know. That's just my pick.
Chris (25:08)
I do not like the Detroit Red Wings. I just don't like the makeup of that team. I don't like anything about them. just, yeah, I don't like them. Yeah, yeah. then, you know, I mean, look, I'd love to see the Rangers get in in a second wild card. We win the Metropolitan and we get them in the first round. That's, know, and just knock them off. I would love that. More than knocking them out of the playoffs though, I would love for them to miss it.
Bobby (25:17)
I know, but they did give us fits today and you know, so it just got me thinking.
Chris (25:36)
and i mean i just i watch that team and and they are they are in disarray now the probably get it right on monday night and what our asses but like you know just the huge game tomorrow devils washington that's gonna be you know that that's finally now you can win that game you can you know build that lead out a little bit more you got a one point lead now what seven yeah
Tony (25:37)
nice.
What time is that game tomorrow, Chris? What time is that game, 7?
Bobby (26:02)
That's third and final with them, right? Or one on one? Fourth and final.
Chris (26:03)
Yes, yeah, fourth and final. Yeah, think we played them three times already. This is, I know it's the last time we should put played them. We should play them four times. So, you know, and we haven't even played the Flyers yet, the Blue Jackets yet, the Penguins yet. We think we've played the Hurricanes twice. We haven't played. I think we played everybody in the Atlantic, right? No, we haven't played Boston yet. And.
Bobby (26:17)
See
Tony (26:30)
I didn't realize that you're right, yeah.
Bobby (26:30)
We lost to them October 19th 6 to 5.
Chris (26:32)
To who?
Capitals. Yeah. We beat them twice.
Bobby (26:35)
capitals.
And then we beat them three to two just here on the 23rd. We're playing them again the 30th. Do we got them one more time then?
Chris (26:46)
No, I thought we played them three times already. Am I wrong?
Bobby (26:51)
Nope.
Chris (26:54)
I thought that we... I thought we won two and lost one, but I'm probably wrong.
Bobby (26:55)
Doesn't look that way.
I could have sworn I heard them even say on the broadcast that we were going to be done with them after this, but I guess not.
Chris (27:04)
I know we're done, tomorrow's the last game, but don't we play everybody in the Metropolitan Division twice? I mean, thre- thre- four times? Ma- ther- So...
Tony (27:15)
So who's the only two teams we haven't played? Boston and the Rangers, right? our, let me see.
Bobby (27:15)
Yeah
Chris (27:18)
Boston Rangers Pittsburgh Columbus Philly
Bobby (27:24)
I'm sorry, Chris, you're right. We beat them 5-3 on the 12th. We lost 6-5. And I skipped the first one early in the season. Yes, this will be it. OK.
Chris (27:26)
Yeah, we beat them 5 to 3. Yep.
Yep. Yeah, so out of the three games, we've gotten five out of six points because they beat us in overtime. So we've done very well this year against the Capitals.
Bobby (27:40)
Yes.
Tony (27:45)
And then you got a Vetchkins out for how long? Now he's out for like five, like a big chunk of time.
Chris (27:48)
Yeah, he's out for a while. And hopefully, maybe Lindgren will keep scoring on himself.
Tony (27:55)
I saw that. You could even tell he was just like, you could try that a million times, it probably wouldn't happen.
Bobby (27:56)
my God, that was the worst.
Chris (28:02)
Right. It was just a bad break.
Bobby (28:05)
I don't know, from that angle I think I could score too.
Tony (28:09)
Who did it get credit? I wonder who got credited for that goal actually. didn't. Yeah, I didn't see who got credited for I did see the highlight from.
Chris (28:12)
yeah, whoever touched it last.
Bobby (28:14)
Yeah.
Chris (28:18)
I'm looking for my scripts for the reads and I can't find them and I don't know where the hell they are.
Tony (28:24)
There's only three of where where is it? Where's our fourth pucker tonight, man? I was looking for D man. Where's our fourth pucker tonight?
Bobby (28:27)
Want me to jump in while you look?
Chris (28:27)
Yeah, why don't you? What I? Don't know he never got back to us, but we're gonna do devil. You know without him tonight, so Well, why don't you Bobby? Why don't you tell the listeners about game time, and I will go find the other two be right back
Tony (28:36)

Tony (34:25)
liver.
Yes, sir.
Bobby (34:43)
Let's do it.
Chris (34:45)
was born the year the movie Unforgiven won Best Picture.
Tony (34:52)
Never seen it.
Chris (34:53)
You never saw Unforgiven, Tone? It's a great movie.
Tony (34:55)
No.
Bobby (34:58)
Unlike you, I'm not a wiz with these years. This is not helping me. 92, eh? Okay.
Chris (35:01)
1992.
Tony (35:04)
Born in 92, right?
Chris (35:05)
Born in 92 in Scarborough,
This former devil stands 6 foot and weighs 203 pounds.
He was drafted 47th overall in 2010.
This former devil has played for seven NHL teams.
Bobby (35:36)
make it easy.
Tony (35:37)
Seven.
Chris (35:37)
Seven.
Bobby (35:40)
Seven times. In the head.
Chris (35:40)
Nine times.
Tony (35:42)
He was drafted in 2010, 47th overall.
Chris (35:46)
Yes.
He scored his first NHL goal on Mike Smith of the Coyotes in his second game on March 18th, 2013 in a 4-0 win.
Tony (36:03)
Smith. Jesus.
Bobby (36:04)
Wait, you scored it on who?
Chris (36:07)
Mike Smith of the Coyotes.
Tony (36:08)
Mike Smith.
Bobby (36:09)
Mike Smith at the Caia. Was he a devil at this time? Okay.
Chris (36:11)
No.
He was not. The devils did not draft him.
Tony (36:14)
Smith.
Bobby (36:17)
not it okay.
Chris (36:18)
He's only played 61 games for the New Jersey Devils.
Tony (36:21)
Okay.
Bobby (36:22)
Okay.
Chris (36:25)
He only played 61 games for New Jersey.
Bobby (36:32)
little obscure.
Chris (36:34)
Yes and no. He made his NHL postseason debut on May 8th, 2013 in Game 5 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals against the St. Louis Blues.
Bobby (36:36)
Yeah, okay.
Tony (36:47)
I was.
Chris (36:57)
This former devil has a Stanley Cup ring.
Tony (37:04)
with what team can you tell us?
Chris (37:06)
I'm gonna wait. I will give you all the teams he's played for He has played for the Montreal Canadiens the New Jersey Devils the Los Angeles Kings God damn it, Tony Very good
Tony (37:13)
Okay.
Tower to Foley.
Bobby (37:25)
No... That was quick!
Tony (37:30)
That's why I was trying to figure out who he won the cup with. When you said 67 games, was like, man, I was bummed when he left.
Chris (37:35)
He was
I had a couple that I would have definitely given away. was one third of that 70s line with Jeff Carter and Tanner Pearson. And when he left New Jersey, he was the team's goal leader with 26 goals. And I thought, you know, then of course, if I tell you he got traded to Winnipeg, you guys would have gotten it. But yes, it was Mr. Tyler Tafoli, the captain of the San Jose Sharks.
Bobby (38:02)
It's the The magic of this game is that automatically my head anyway does not go to that recent of a history like at all I'm probing back for like even though you told me his draft year and that kind of stuff I'm just still trying to think of like obscure guy came in You know popped around like I I was nowhere near to fully on this one like at all
Chris (38:09)
Right.
Tony (38:21)
When he said Kings when he went Toronto Kings I was like and then I was trying to the 60 was a sick how many games he played was like 63 or 67. Yeah, so.
Chris (38:27)
With the Devils, he played 61.
Bobby (38:32)
Wow, that's a good one.
Chris (38:34)
I like Tyler Toffoli and I'll tell you I am loving the San Jose Sharks man. They put eight up today. don't yeah, I am really liking that team man. So is this rumor that's buzzing around about possibly Taylor Hall being reunited with the Devils? Is this something that's got some real traction and what do you guys think about that?
Tony (38:34)
Good one, Chris. Yeah.
Bobby (38:41)
Did they really?
Tony (38:52)
saw this.
Bobby (39:00)
Who's going first on that one?
Tony (39:02)
I don't know if it's true or not, but I mean, can you really say it's a bad thing if you add Hall to this team? I don't know. I can't say it's a bad thing. mean, the only thing that we all felt, I think we all felt the same way when Hall was part of this team. Like it felt like he didn't want to be here at the end. That's what sucked. He really just had this demeanor to him. But I mean, with this lineup that we have with these, with this squad that we have, I can only see it being a plus to be honest. mean,
Chris (39:15)
Right.
Bobby (39:31)
Well, real big fan when he was here, gotta be honest, I don't know that I've witnessed somebody lift the team to the playoffs as much as he did. That team doesn't sniff the playoffs without just an insane year. I probably have the same reservations a lot of people would, just another guy of that size fitting on this team when offense isn't really our problem. So do we need it kind of thing? Is it too disruptive or can we?
Tony (39:39)
like he did with Kinkade and goal. I
Bobby (40:00)
place them in the right spot where it just works. I don't know.
Chris (40:02)
That's the question now. Where do you put them?
Bobby (40:06)
So we had a few people on our Instagram account answer these questions. When you did the, which devil would you bring back? Right? A couple people, they were answering the question and one or two on their own also said Taylor Hall. And I said, interesting, where would you put them? And pretty much to a man, it's with Hughes and Bratt. Okay, I get why you would do that too. And as somebody who didn't speak very positively,
for plot just on his numbers can also say that he's doing a hell of a job on that line is kinda that complimentary piece that is very different than the way that hall plays the game so again i just don't know i mean i i guess tony it's a valid point like i can you really make your team worse any guy like that
Tony (40:53)
plus what injuries you're gonna get somebody's gut. You're not gonna go through the rest of the season without some kind of subtraction. So.
Bobby (41:01)
But are you going to use them right is the thing. I mean, you're not going to bring in Taylor Hall and put them on the third or fourth line. Is it going to work?
Tony (41:08)
And what if something goes wrong? Is he going to drag that? You know, I'm not saying he was a locker room issue, but you kind of had that vibe when that shit was going down that things were not very happy and you know.
Bobby (41:17)
Yeah, let's look at his perspective a little differently though, right? He drags his team to the playoffs, we're otherwise not truly set up to be a long-term contending team yet. He hadn't been able to do free agency yet, right? Like his big, right? And we weren't projected to be a contender for the next 10 years like we are now. Like now, even if he didn't like being here, he can look at the team now be like, shit, I can go there for a while.
Tony (41:24)
Literally, mean, yeah.
Wins the heart.
Chris (41:44)
Well, mean, Hall has always spoken very highly of guys on the team like Nico Heasher and stuff when he was here. So, even I think that I think Taylor Hall has been humbled a lot since then. I mean, you get traded to, you know, where do we trade him? The Coyotes, right?
Tony (42:02)
Boston you think you're gonna win in Boston when you go there. I you think that's
Chris (42:04)
And he's like on the third line most of the time on the Boston team because he was on that team when Bergeron was there, Creechie was there. I mean, they had a lot of weapons. He's on the third line there. And then he goes to Chicago to play with Boudard and gets injured last year. And he's basically out all last year and then it hurt again. think it was hurt a little bit this year, right? So maybe he's humbled a little bit. Maybe it's now just kind of, I really just want to win a cup and I want to do what I can to help the team and not
I don't have to be the end all be all of the team. Also, I don't know if that locker room would tolerate any bullshit. There are enough leaders on this team now that I think that if Taylor Hall pulled any, and again, it's not eight years ago, it's not, well what, six years ago? So the team's a lot different now. What were you gonna say, Tom? okay.
Tony (43:01)
I know my wife was just carrying me a cup of coffee and I was giving her a thumbs up.
Chris (43:03)
So I don't know if I I mean I just hate retreads, you know I'd rather see somebody that hasn't been on this team yet But I guess it couldn't be bad. I mean then what do you do with Palat? I mean, that's the other thing
Bobby (43:18)
But you are literally probably thrusting this guy to a first line role so I know you're saying it has to be the man but he's going to be playing with two of the main men. And then we have a lot like we've been saying this I'm saying for a long time you can do a lot worse and still have a serviceable plot on your third and fourth line that is a benefit beyond you know.
Chris (43:36)
Especially with we don't know what's going on with Tomas Tatar now
Bobby (43:42)
Right, we don't know what's going on with Tatar. I Bashin's been hurt, Lazar's been hurt. We don't have an absolute timetable and we do got to keep winning, right? You got to keep playing, but hey. Like I said, I liked the guy. I liked what he did and I don't try to try not to read too much into contract and all that. People have a right to go do what they want to do. But like Tony said, more than anything, it kind of just felt like he didn't want to be here. He'll say all the right things. His time in Jersey was great, but you know, you can all kind of see it just felt.
Tony (43:52)
Did you guys?
Bobby (44:11)
Weird, but that doesn't mean a reunion wouldn't be magnificent for him and the team.
Tony (44:14)
And there's one thing, there's one thing too. You know, I was thinking about this when I had heard that rumor, I think it was yesterday. I had read that, which I actually want to bring up too. I even saw Mercer getting mentioned in some movement talk even yesterday on some article. I was kind of surprised. but if you remember, if you really think back to hall, you know, I mean in his defense, I mean, he wasn't really, when he was sent here, I don't think he was happy from day one when he was sent there from Edmonton. There was, he loved Edmonton. He was a guy. I remember there was a big thing about this.
He was a guy who he would have wanted. He figured he was going to spend his whole career in Edmonton pretty much. That was his game plan. Cause I, and I kind of forgot that until I saw the article and I was like, that's right. When he, when he got sent to New Jersey, there was a little bit, it wasn't not known that he wasn't like doing back flips into the locker room over there.
Bobby (44:48)
Yes.
Chris (45:02)
Well him and
Bobby (45:03)
Yeah, but he took that attitude off on the wrong team though. I mean the problem in Edmonton was he was supposed to be the guy and then more of the guys. Remember Edmonton got the first round pick like forever, right? And then he was just the odd man out that they decided to ship out. I think that really pissed them off. But it shouldn't have put you, you know, don't think of the Devils that way. We wanted you for that particular reason.
Tony (45:06)
Mm-hmm.
yeah.
Chris (45:17)
also
I also heard
Tony (45:22)
And maybe he didn't think this. Maybe we looked into this and maybe we saw this a different way than it really was. And maybe he was just dissatisfied with the team that let's be honest. mean, like Christmas, he did carry, you know, I mean, you had Kinkade in gold or in his time period and this guy got this team in the playoffs and really, you know, you mentioned carrying them. Well, we, what we saw it happen, like Taylor Hall got them in the playoffs. mean, I mean, yeah.
Chris (45:42)
Yeah, and this is a completely different devil team. mean, that's just this is a completely different devil team. Taylor, from what I remember, if I'm right about this with with the Edmonton thing was basically the locker room ended up getting split there where you had the Taylor Hall guys and you had the Connor McDavid guys and you got to, know, and it was basically got to a point that one of these guys has to go. And apparently Edmonton was not willing to part with Connor McDavid.
Bobby (45:45)
incredible year.
Chris (46:12)
And the other, I think it worked out good for him.
Bobby (46:13)
You think that was the right choice? I don't know. Retrospect being what it is. Yeah.
Tony (46:16)
That would have been fun, wouldn't it? See a McDavid in a devil sweater would have been a great time.
Chris (46:18)
can you imagine if we've got Connor McDavid for Larson, It was just a one for one trade with Larson, right? I mean, that's what we gave up. And maybe that's what pissed him off too. He was like, really? Larson? That's what they're, you know, he's still playing. I think he's with Seattle, isn't he? Larson? I did too.
Bobby (46:26)
man, yeah, that was a one for one,
I
Tony (46:38)
I Adam Larson, I don't know. Yeah, I liked Larson.
Bobby (46:39)
He's a real ste- he's a steady guy now, like, he's he's a good player.
Chris (46:42)
I do too. But I mean, I think that there's a couple of other guys I would look at a little bit more, but if it was Taylor Hall, I could live with that, I guess. mean, he's, I think Taylor Hall with his skill set with Jack and Brat would be definitely an upgrade than Pallott. I really believe that.
Tony (47:02)
There's this one thing with Taylor Hall that we, that he does, what I would like, no matter where you get, whoever they say, they plug in someone for a run this year, right? I just, I would hope we would get someone with some fire. And what I mean by that is you're not going to get like, you know, I'm talking the fire of guys. not even talking about these guys, but someone like a Kachuk where they're just fiery on the ice and just completely take this team and kind of, you know, lead them into this fiery direction. You see that in a play. I should see this with some of these guys.
Chris (47:31)
I think we have those guys though.
Tony (47:32)
I don't know who that is that we can grab. I think we have them, but I don't think we have the, I don't know how the mouthpiece, like I don't know if we have that main mouthpiece. You guys think we'd like just someone who's, but they back it up. Not a guy who runs their mouth and is on the ice causing commotion, but doesn't back it up. Someone that's the whole package for at least for the run.
Bobby (47:34)
I think we have those guys in house.
Chris (47:47)
No, I know what you're saying. But I, I, I mean, you're talking about a Matthew Brady Chuck kind of guy. They're, they're, they're unicorns. No. I mean, I think that, like I said, I think that you're going to see a lot of guys on this team come playoff time that do have that other gear. Like, you know, Nason's going to be a different player. You know, Paul Cotter is going to be a different player.
Tony (47:57)
You're not going to get that, but someone of that intensity, so to say, backs it up.
Bobby (47:59)
There's only a couple like that, yeah.
Chris (48:16)
You know that some of these dudes are just going to be able to turn it on and be absolute bulls come playoff time. I see what you're saying. Like I look a little bit like we mentioned Frank Mitrano on the last show. Like I like the idea of possibly him. He's a tough guy. You know, he's got that kind of fire that you're talking about, Tone. And I don't know. I mean, I think this team is built and I was thinking about this. Like you look at Nashville, right?
put in all these nice and shiny new pieces right and they're completely shitting the bed and I was thinking about Nico Hescher today watching him play this game especially at the end of the game where he just took over defensively winning those huge drawer draws and and scoring the goal and and these guys just been the overall best devil all year
It could have gone that way for the Devils this year. New head coach, a lot of new faces. Like, if the culture in that locker room wasn't stable and wasn't good, it could have gone the way Nashville has. And I attribute a lot of that to Nico Escher. I really do. Like, I think that, and it's kind of off the subject of what you're saying, Tom, but I think that this team does have the character and the makeup.
that they don't need like last year I was like you have to get Brady Kachuck on this team if you even want to consider making the playoffs he needs to be on it I don't believe that anymore like does would Brady Kachuck of course
Tony (49:46)
but it pushes you over the edge. gives you that, you know, and I agree with you. I've, I've said since
Chris (49:50)
Do you not think the Devils can win a Stanley Cup right now with the team they have? Like seriously, I mean I'm just curious what you think.
Tony (49:55)
I think they can, I can also see them not winning the Stanley Cup this year. I think they can. I think this team is like, there's days. mean, of course, know, some nights you watch, like, well, I went to that Tampa game two weeks ago. was like, damn it, man, this is what I didn't want to see. And I've seen it a few times this year, but I do think they could win. But there's just some, the teams that, I'm trying to think of the right way to word this. I think if you get that kind of guy, you have a better chance. And you know, I mean.
Chris (50:09)
Right.
Sure.
Tony (50:23)
And Nico, I've said all along, Nico's my, I mean, I think he's probably the most important devil this year. And I love Jack Hughes and I love Jesper Brad. And that there's an argument for all those guys, especially Jesper Brad being maybe one of the most important devils on that roster. But I'm, I love Nico all around and just see it. I mean, I don't, I wasn't on the last show, but you know, that was a special night the other night, man, seeing the natural hat trick and just seeing him, the emotion on him. And it just, you know, he's ours. Like I don't want to, I said this to my wife when we were watching that game the other night.
Chris (50:46)
yeah.
Tony (50:53)
was like, I want to see this guy retire in a devil's jersey. Like I want this to be one of those guys who, of course I want Jack to do that and all these guys, but I want to me, Nico has even worked out better than I thought he would have when we took him over Nolan Patrick. I mean, this guy is just, just awesome.
Chris (50:56)
Absolutely.
Now Bob, what do you think? Does this team have the make-up to win the Stanley Cup as is?
Bobby (51:16)
Yeah, I don't think there's a player out there that we can inject for a playoff run that can bring the mentality, specifically maybe that Tony's referring to. think that would be something if you got a guy with term that maybe by year two, you know, he did a playoff run. Now I just don't see anybody out there that can come in and fulfill that role, especially with the players we have that I think are already going to do that. When I posed the question a couple of weeks ago, a couple of months ago, whatever it was Chris, about who's the one player that's going to will us into the playoffs?
And right away you said Heesher and I agree with Heesher. However, when I actually posed that question, top of my mind was Nason. Guy like, and I mentioned him as my runner up to that because a guy like Nason is like that kind of warrior come playoff time. know what you're going to get from. And I think we got a lot of guys like that. I think we got a lot of, I think as a collective, this team already has kind of that mentality. You see it from guys like Kovacevic today. You see it from Dylan. You see it from Cotter.
Chris (51:52)
Okay.
Right?
Bobby (52:15)
Definitely you see what you need to see from Hescher and then some other guys are a little more flash. We haven't even look at what Timo Meyer did two years ago in the playoffs without even scoring a goal. He was so instrumental in how well we did in that first round against the Rangers. So I don't see that type of guy that's going to be able to even come in and do that this year. And even if there was, I don't know that we needed. think that we're pretty good. I do believe that this team as constructed probably has what it takes to win Stanley.
Chris (52:23)
Yeah.
Now, well you...
Tony (52:43)
I agree. just like see him add one just towards that last month of the season, like that last couple of months of the season. It would be cool to get, you know, and you guys know what I'm talking about. Just this, this kind of some kind of guy that's really, you know, I'm not going to say claw. You know, I think I'm talking about that kind of player, I guess you'd say like that kind of like Lemieux attitude, like that just, you know, I think I just think it would work perfect with this team, but I do think they could win. But I also think there's a chance that that would help us a lot toward that run. Cause the playoffs and we've talked about it. We do have the physicality now, but
Bobby (52:53)
I get it
Tony (53:13)
class is a whole different level and it's like shit gets turned up to like 11.
Chris (53:18)
think teams want to get physical with us. really don't. Like it's getting to that point now, like we are leading the league in fighting majors. Teams don't want to mix it up with our guys. And they even said it during the broadcast today when Kovacevich and Rasmussen threw down and Spalding said, yeah, I guess he wanted to get that out of the way before McDermott got on the ice because who you going to fight? You going to fight Kovacevich? wait, or McDermott or Dylan? Like this team
Tony (53:22)
That's great.
I heard that.
Bobby (53:43)
Right, right.
Tony (53:47)
I like Dylan, I don't know what you guys think. mean, think Dylan's just, he, yeah.
Chris (53:49)
I love Dylan but don't I want to go back to something you said a little while ago what article did you see about mercer possibly being on the move cuz i think that would be a huge mistake unless it was for somebody big because this guy defensively has been a fucking stud.
Bobby (53:50)
I love Dylan, I think he's great.
Tony (53:58)
I saw something, I was strolling.
Bobby (53:59)
Yeah.
Tony (54:03)
It could have been some bullshit. It could have been some bullshit, but there was something like things the devil should look into, you know, that they don't probably, it's kind of like one of those things that fans might not want to look. And it was a picture of Mercer and I actually didn't even realize, I saw it and I was like, you know, and I was, had something going on with my kids, but I did see that. I was going to mention that to you guys. Got to know if Bobby had read it. Cause Bobby's usually on top of those articles a little bit more.
Chris (54:26)
Well, let me ask you guys a question. Like, personally, I... Unless it was for... Unless it was for somebody that, you know, some upper-echelon player, like a player like you're talking about, Tony, like, you... I don't want to move Mercer. I know his offense hasn't been there, but, like, look what he does on the PK. You look what he does defensively. He's very valuable to this team. What would you guys say? Because, look, Ottawa is shitting the bed.
Tony (54:30)
I don't want to get rid of Mercer.
Chris (54:56)
Brady Kachuk is not happy in Ottawa right now. Right. He's not happy in Ottawa right now. And as much as I said just now, like we don't necessarily need him on this team, but having Brady Kachuk on this team, maybe it could go the opposite direction where it's just too much personality and stuff like that. would you consider, or would you be okay with let's say a Mercer and Nemec for Brady Kachuk?
Tony (54:59)
I take Brady Kachuk.
I think if you get Brady Kachuk, you're, I mean, I'm going to probably get some hay for this, but I think you're definitely, you know, you're talking about would someone add to the run? I don't see how you don't think Brady Kachuk would add. You have to give to get. And I think Brady Kachuk would definitely add to this team in many ways, including what I was talking about earlier.
Bobby (55:53)
Mercer, he's a great player. He's a great devil. He's not Brady Kachuk. That's just the bottom line. So if you had a chance to essentially upgrade to Brady Kachuk, and essentially what you're given other than Mercer is a position of power that we already have in defensive prospects, I we can totally live with that. And you, I guess, essentially aren't going to miss Mercer because of Brady Kachuk.
It's probably a trade you have to make as much as I'm a huge fan of Mercer and everything you just said, Chris, the intangibles this guy brings. He'll get on the scoreboard too, the penalty kill, like he's every bit a part of this team's success. No doubt about it. But the bottom line is Brady Kachuck is a better hockey player. And if you can swap those two for basically a high-end defensive prospect, I would do it.
Tony (56:32)
hockey sense is awesome.
Chris (56:43)
When you have Matthew Kachuk winning Stanley Cups, playing for Stanley Cups, and Brady has never played one playoff game, I do think there's a matter, it's only a matter of time that if this thing starts to get away from Ottawa, that you're gonna see Brady seriously sitting down and saying, all right, you gotta move me. I love Ottawa, I wanna be here, but I wanna win. At some point, I wanna play my brother in a playoff series. At some point, I wanna win a Stanley Cup.
You know, he's got a relationship with Fitzgerald, him and Jack and Luke are super tight. Where do you put him though? Do you put him with Jack and Brad? Do you put him with Nico and Meyer? Where? He's a winger. Yeah, he's not a center.
Tony (57:21)
That's the thing, yo.
Bobby (57:21)
My next question.
He is a wing right here he is he's a wing.
Yeah, I think you put him with Jack and Brad He sure like I said, he sure is kind of fine wherever he is man He just he's making things go on that line. It could be offensive when it needs to it can shut people down Jack and Brad. Yeah, you slide him up there. You put Palat back down a third or fourth roll That would be a killer line
Chris (57:51)
He has 11 goals and 14 assists so far this year. Brady Kachuk.
Tony (57:54)
I'm curious.
Bobby (57:59)
on a shitty team.
Chris (58:00)
On a really bad team. A team that's actually, I mean, they're just defensively their shit. They can score goals and their power plays good, but, and we said it, like, I thought the Olmark move was a great move for them, but Olmark's gonna have a lot of nights where he wishes he was still part in Boston and that's exactly what he's at. I mean, right now they're, what's today's date? So they won, I guess they beat San Jose two nights ago, right? What's today's date anyway? Yeah.
Tony (58:01)
and there's kachok.
Is there 29th? it?
Chris (58:29)
So their last two games they did win 4-3. They beat the Sharks and they beat the Flames and then they lost 3 before that. So yeah, not gonna make the playoffs, Ottawa. It's another year that they're not gonna make the playoffs. I don't know what other teams, I mean maybe Florida decides, you know what, we're gonna get the Kachuk brothers together and they pull some blockbuster out of their ass, but I can't think of too many other Eastern Conference teams that Brady Kachuk would fit in better.
Tony (58:58)
I'd be interested too at that, know, if you, you know, we, if you look, if you go to the, from being someone that goes to devil games outside of New Jersey often, or, know, you always see the use, he's sheer jerseys, right? The bro door jerseys, I believe, and nothing against, I love Mercer. mean, again, you know, kind of a player that floats like, cause his point, you know, he's kind of under the people don't realize how good he is a lot of times outside. If you're not a devil's fan.
Chris (59:11)
Mm-hmm.
Tony (59:25)
But I wonder, you you get Kachuck, you have a new jerk. I'm sure you're going to see a lot of Kachuck jerseys in those stands too. He's just one of those players. Yeah. People just grip onto, know, I mean, I think, you that'd be exciting. I don't think it's going to happen, but I would love it. Christina, you're right. How long is totally being in Ottawa? How long until it just, he wants out.
Chris (59:29)
god, I'd buy one.
Bobby (59:44)
I got to backtrack a little bit too on what I said because I made it sound like it was so obvious because you could just move Palat and then you get him up with Jack and Hughes. But then again, what if we didn't? Because if Mercer's gone, Mercer's currently playing on the third line. He was projected to be on the second line. Nason's up there. So really, you could throw him on that second line, put Nason back on the third, which gives us that killer third again until we get our fourth back going. You could probably put him in both places, but maybe it would make more sense to go there and leave. Listen, leave.
Chris (59:57)
Mm-hmm.
Bobby (1:00:12)
Jack and Brad to kind of do what they're doing, frankly. Like, I don't want to mess up that chemistry is one of the biggest things.
Chris (1:00:14)
Yeah.
I think, well, they both play left wing, Brad and Brady.
Bobby (1:00:27)
Brat to me, you put on me either side. It doesn't matter. Once the once those skates are moving, it's not positional anyway, you know.
Chris (1:00:28)
Alright.
That's true. So I would probably put him with, yeah, I'd put him with Bratt and Jack. I just think that would make that line so much more dominant. And Pilat, yes, he opens up ice for them. We all heard Bratt talk about that and stuff, but think about what Brady Kachuk could do as far as opening up ice. Yeah. You're getting better.
Bobby (1:00:49)
Again, we're talking about an improvement on a player. Bottom line is you're getting better. So could you lose Pilat in that deal too? Could it be Pilat, Mercer, and Nemeck? Like literally you can still, you're still a better team even with that.
Tony (1:01:00)
And I think it answers Chris's question earlier about the 20 minutes ago too, is like, there a player that really, really lights a
be the one that would, think, change things up a little bit. know, there's no, don't think there's any way it wouldn't have. And again, we love Mercer. Mercer's not probably not going anywhere. You know, it's just whatever, you know, some articles and shit, but you get Kachuk, man. I don't know. I feel pretty confident going into this playoffs a little bit more.
Chris (1:01:30)
If there's, mean, the only other person that I could see on a Brady Kachuk type of trade other than Mercer that could possibly be sent away would be Timo Meyer. He would be the other one that maybe, you you ship him off to Ottawa. I don't want to get rid of Timo because I think you need him in the playoffs. I think he's too good. I would much rather have a line of Nason, Meyer, and Heescher and Jack Brady.
Tony (1:01:47)
No, we haven't even seen the best of Meyer either with us. don't
Chris (1:01:58)
I mean, that's just a ridiculous top six. So yeah, I mean, I guess.
Bobby (1:02:05)
Yeah, and I think for me, this might just be child's play, but it seems like with Jack knowing him, he can come over here and kind of be like, listen, here's the deal. This is the team that we are. You can go so far, but we're not going to go over the top. And Nico's our captain, and this is kind of what we follow. You know what mean? I don't know if that would ever really happen, but I think because they know each other, it would make me a lot more comfortable to Jack and Sean. This is how we need you to assimilate into this team.
Chris (1:02:32)
And I think if a guy like Brady Kachuk, mean, look, people look what Matthew did coming in. mean, now with the Florida Panthers, they needed that insert of energy and that, and that, cause if you watch like, yeah, Sasha Barkov is the captain of the Panthers, like, I mean, Matthew Kachuk's that leader on the ice. Like they follow him. I don't necessarily, like, I can see that kind of being very similar that, you know, when he's out there, like he, Brady,
Bobby (1:02:53)
without a doubt.
Tony (1:02:54)
No Kachuk, no cup last year.
Chris (1:03:01)
I think Brady could be better than Matthew Kachuk. He just has not had anything around him. You know, even Matthew Kachuk has always played with, know, Johnny Goodrow and always had good goaltending and stuff like that. Like Brady's really on a dog shit franchise. and, and I just, it wouldn't shock me if he says he wants out of Ottawa. Now, whether or not Tom Fitzgerald has the balls, cause it's really hard when you're sitting in first place and you know that you have a team.
Bobby (1:03:29)
Yes.
Chris (1:03:30)
as constructed that can compete for a Stanley Cup to go and insert such a big piece in that puzzle, like you better be fucking right. Because if it goes south, what? Right?
Tony (1:03:39)
We saw that with Boston. We saw that with Boston a couple years ago. Boston added a bunch of pieces and it fell apart.
Bobby (1:03:46)
Yeah, I mean not only yeah, you better be right But if you do have the balls to do something like that you do it sooner than later You get him in there as long as possible to figure out how he's gonna play with this team. Why wait? Why would you wait?
Chris (1:03:54)
That's true.
Tony (1:03:57)
what's nice now is we have guys that you can actually, you you always hear about, whatever sport it is, Aaron Judge called up this guy and said, hey man, why don't you come to the team? Now we have guys that, you know, a couple of years ago, we didn't have those guys to make those calls. You you had to have Brodor call who's been retired for how long, you know. Now you have guys on our roster that, you know, a guy like whoever, whether it Kachuk or not, look at the devil's roster and be like, well, I could play with Jack Hughes, Nico, Jasper Bratt.
Chris (1:04:07)
Right.
Right.
Tony (1:04:25)
There's a lot of compliments right there. There's a lot of things that can benefit you. know, it's nice because we didn't always have that. So that's a nice thing for New Jersey.
Bobby (1:04:33)
And again, not for nothing, all this shit is public. Everybody knows the contract situations in Jersey. Everybody knows how long these key players are locked up for. It's not like, they're looking hot right now. They got a year or two. You can legitimately look at this team and be like, shit, they're not going anywhere for a while.
Chris (1:04:50)
No, they're not. I mean, Thomas Sherald has constructed a really, just a really good team and on every level. I mean, I like everything about him. And I think every guy that we brought in has, I think, been played over what we've kind of expected. Markstrom is playing fantastic. Nason, Cotter, all those guys. But I think the home run,
pick up higher with Sheldon Keefe. Like, Sheldon Keefe has such a... I like his temperament. I like every... Like, he's not too high, not too down, and he just has his... He's very cerebral in how he looks at every opponent, and he has these guys bought in 100%. And that was something I was kind of worried about after last year, because you saw, like, Lindy lost the locker room. And, you know...
These guys were just absolutely thirsty for somebody to come in there and implement a system that works and get the best out of each one of these guys. And I think Sheldon Keefe has done that.
Bobby (1:06:03)
And it's it's every single player like on that five on three where every forward got out there how we've talked about Jack getting penalty kill time it was like two games ago and I'll get penalty killed kill time he can't with 56 seconds still left in the penalty I don't know if you played the whole 56 left but it wasn't the last 1015 seconds like he's entrusting this guy at halfway through and maybe more by now like these things these little buttons he's pushing a perfect never at all.
Tony (1:06:04)
Eddie.
Chris (1:06:06)
Right.
And Lindy Ruff would never have done that. Yep.
Tony (1:06:32)
And with Keith, he's given a hell of a lineup though. Keith's given, he was given a nice, you look at the roster last year when the season started to what Keith started out with this year. I got to say, Keith's given the tools. mean, you're given the, last year you had no, you had no guts, right? You really, went into the season and now you have the puzzle pieces.
Bobby (1:06:33)
And it's working.
Chris (1:06:42)
Sure. But-
But this is the, yeah, you're right. And this is the time of year though, that like, even if you have all the pieces and stuff like that, this is the time of year that kind of, you know, it gets a little hard sometimes, you know, you kind of, this is the beginning of the season, you're jazzed up, you're ready to play. Now you're getting into that part where it's like the holidays are coming and you're playing a lot of hockey and then you get, you know, back pumped up again and...
Tony (1:07:09)
Dog Days.
Chris (1:07:14)
March when you're getting ready for the playoffs, this is kind of that and this team just is rolling and even like you said They're not after that for game losing streak We were talking and I said we're not gonna see that again this year and I still believe that like if they lose one and They're right back at it now. I'm not you know I'd love to see him go on an actual streak not just three out of four, which that seems to be it Three out of four. That's all we can do. We can't win four in a row Yeah
Tony (1:07:36)
Nice 10 in a row or eight in a row or you know. Yep.
Bobby (1:07:41)
I mean this three out of four is well over a hundred points, but it would be nice to string it together and get crystal clear that we're gonna be in the 110s or whatever.
Chris (1:07:49)
Well, you know they got a nice break coming up during the week next week. I think we play Monday and then we don't play again till Friday. So they have that nice week and now some of these games, some of these other teams will start catching up to us on games in hand, which doesn't matter as long as you keep on winning. But I don't know. mean, the idea of Brady, man, I tell you that would, I would do it. I would do it in a heartbeat. Just to have him on this team and even giving up
Tony (1:08:10)
that you're not like it.
Chris (1:08:18)
Guys like Mercer and Nemez, I'm okay with that. I mean, we've got the kid we drafted defense last year in this draft, the defenseman, that big giant, I think he's like nine and a half feet tall, whatever his name is. Like we have him in the, have Seamus Casey. You get rid of Shimon Nemez, I don't know. I mean, I like Nemez's game last year, but I wasn't in love with the guy.
Bobby (1:08:29)
Yeah.
Right, mean, listen. We can survive. Luzum is a great pick. He's a great asset right now. We have a team that is playing absolutely fine. He's not blocked by any means. But I said a few weeks in, I think after Kova Sevick was doing what he was doing, I'm like, so now what you going to do? Are going to sign this guy? And I even said, probably not. He's probably already penciled in. You're let him go. Some other team is going to overpay for him because he's having a better year than expected. And that might still happen.
Chris (1:08:50)
Right.
Bobby (1:09:13)
But now if I'm the GM, I'm looking at this guy going, I don't know. I don't know that I'm just going let somebody come over the top. Maybe I do want to keep them. And then that creates a log jam for a lot longer than we thought. I want to win. I want the best team, the best players. And personnel is a part of that. Personnel, they are assets. No matter, you can't get attached to them. I've been saying it a million times. There's going to be an unpopular trade. Maybe it's Mercer.
Maybe it's Meyer like we said a couple weeks ago again nothing gets my we all love Meyer I think he's great at these upside something I haven't seen yet but we all agree there's something about the fit it doesn't seem a hundred percent right. Not his fault I don't know what it is. We saw flashes last year yeah if he played that way all year he would score forty eight goals or whatever the hell the math told us but he didn't it was the end of the year you know and then he started this year and he's not on that pace so.
Chris (1:09:51)
Right.
Tony (1:10:06)
Maybe he'll pull a Claude in the playoffs. Maybe he's that kind of guy.
Bobby (1:10:09)
Maybe he will like I said I don't want to get rid of me told me right now I can get a Meyer jersey for the price we pay for the last one that's gonna go get it but. If you have you like whatever you have to do I get this point to upgrade your team to be a true true contender.
Chris (1:10:23)
I think Tom Fitzgerald's earned that. If Fitz says, it's Meyer and we're bringing in Brady, or it's Mercer and we're bringing in Brady, there are going to be some fans that are pissed, but I have to trust that Tom Fitzgerald knows what he's doing.
Bobby (1:10:35)
Yes, that's the point.
Tony (1:10:37)
Who would be the new devil jersey you would get that you felt like, I'm going to say mine just because you guys might pick it. I would say Nason, a guy that even if he left after, you've had him twice here. I would feel a little confident. It's very hard buying a player jersey these days because they're gone or they, know, it's a different world as when we were growing up where you had the same guy on your team for 15 to 20 years. But who would be a guy that you guys would pick this year that you would feel confident that?
You know, he's not going to be gone in three weeks and has actually been an important part of the squad.
Chris (1:11:12)
I already have a Nico, I already have a Jack, and then I of course have Stevens and Brodor out of this team right now if I would probably go with Jesper Brett.
Bobby (1:11:28)
So we're basing it just on like this year, Tony, or comfort that they're not leaving or.
Tony (1:11:32)
Someone you would feel confident like, okay, like this guy has, you you mentioned Meyer, right? Like, well, you know, Chris got us some jer- Chris got us some jerseys this year. I thought about getting a Meyer, but I have to be honest. I'm not, I wasn't too sold that he was going to be here the whole time or what. So a guy like that, you know, a guy like, you know, if you buy a football jersey, Chris, know, you feel like they've done some kind of thing to the team's history where it makes sense, you know, not an Antonio Brown Raiders jersey or-
Bobby (1:11:40)
Yeah.
Chris (1:11:45)
Yeah, I know what you're saying, and I agree with you.
Bye.
Bobby (1:11:59)
Yeah, I hear you. don't think Nason will be likely to be here after his three years that he signed, but that wouldn't deter me from getting his. I just love players like him. always have. I loved his first run with the team too. I love him more right now. I hated playing against him. This is just the type of hockey player I absolutely love. But if you're looking at like comfort in
Tony (1:12:13)
And you liked his first run with the team too, right? Yeah.
Bobby (1:12:26)
being a big part of this team like longer term I agree with Chris I think that's brat I don't think he gets enough love quite frankly and he should but I would get a nation jersey right now like I love the dude he's awesome
Chris (1:12:31)
I agree.
Tony (1:12:37)
Nason reminds me of someone that would have been on the 95 roster. If you look at like, if you go through the roster of a guy who contributed, yeah, he reminds me that. And I thought when I watched him in the playoffs with Carolina last year, I was like, damn it, man, I wish he was still a devil. And yeah.
Chris (1:12:42)
Yes.
Bobby (1:12:43)
He could be our Claude Lemieux.
Yeah, I think he's a driver dude. I really do. I think he just pushes all the right buttons on everybody
Chris (1:12:52)
Do you know who would be a better Claude Lemieux in the playoffs? Brady Kachuk.
Bobby (1:13:00)
Cloud to me. Brady, yeah, I suppose he would.
Tony (1:13:02)
There we go, goes back to that, it all comes around again.
Chris (1:13:02)
So you... I don't know man, it's like I wasn't thinking about that much this year, but now that Tony brought it up, I'm thinking it's... yeah, we all were. I mean, we did whole shows on. We were the first ones that I know of that talked about Brady Kachuck. It was right around this time last year.
Tony (1:13:13)
I was screaming Brady Katrack all last year, you guys remember. I I've been waving the flag.
Chris (1:13:24)
where we brought it up like that's the guy that has to get in this team. then like after the holidays, everybody else started talking about it. And Ottawa basically just put the kibosh on it quick. And I think Ottawa didn't move him last year because they felt that they had some other moves to make and they can turn this thing around. They're not turning it around. I mean, when you, first of all, when you hire Travis Green as your head coach, you're not taking it seriously. Like, I'm sorry, you're just not taking it seriously.
Bobby (1:13:52)
Yeah.
Chris (1:13:54)
I mean he's not he's he's Travis Green like we saw him here he seems like a great guy but you know he's an associate coach he's not I don't think he's a head coach I just think that there will come a time it's Ottawa does not turn it around and every double fan if you feel this way you should be wishing that Ottawa blows every game they're in and you see Brady right he's losing his shit he's not happy there so I mean maybe now's the time is it the time to pull the trigger on a
big blockbuster and say we're not only gonna try and the cup this year we're gonna try and be in the mix for the next five and this guy does that
Tony (1:14:33)
I'd buy a jersey tomorrow.
Chris (1:14:35)
with you. All right, let's get Brady Kachau. All right, think you guys have anything else?
Bobby (1:14:37)
Yeah, dude.
Alright, let's just end the show with a little more ranger hate from Stan Fischler if we could. Yep. Let's just, I'm just... Good. Yeah.
Chris (1:14:45)
yes! I wanted to say something. I love that Fischler is completely hate tweeting about the Rangers constantly, but I just think his hate's little bit misplaced, because it seems to all be on Shisterkin. And I'm sorry, these guys are with the bottom of the Metro without this guy. I just don't know if that hate is deserved to Igor.
Tony (1:14:46)
Yes.
I take them.
Bobby (1:15:11)
It's gotta be about the money. Unfortunately his most recent one is yesterday but he just says, isn't it obvious that the New York Rangers piggy Iggy keeps getting beaten unstoppable wide angle shots because he goes down for no reason at all. Okay, shell shock perhaps, he needs Benny Allere with an SOS.
Chris (1:15:36)
any aware with an SOS. All right. Do you all right. So real real quick because I'm not going to do a preview for tomorrow's game because it's already eleven thirty at night and you know I got to work tomorrow. So what do you guys think we got we have the next two right. We got Washington is Washington home. I think it's in the Brock right. OK. And then we're at MSG on Monday. What do you guys think. How do you think these next to go.
Bobby (1:15:40)
Alright, Stan!
We are home. Yep.
Quite frankly, I am a little concerned about the game against Washington tomorrow. know we've beaten them last, but they just do play as well. And I, you know, maybe we don't string one together, but I'm going to go with the win. I'm going to go with like a four, two.
Chris (1:16:19)
Okay, and what about Monday? Four three devils. right, Washington. I think Washington, we're gonna get a point out of it. Five four? You said Tony?
Tony (1:16:20)
Go 4-3 devils.
fought five, devils against the Rangers.
5-4 and probably a multiple fight. I think we're gonna see a multiple fight that night. Two fights going on at the same time on the ice.
Chris (1:16:38)
This is going to actually tell you if, what kind of coach Peter Lavillette is. If they bring Rempy up just to play against the devils, then that just to me shows what a absolute fucking scumbag he is and that whole organization is. Because Rempy does one thing and that's, you know, tries to put people out of, put people in the hospital.
Like, you know, so if you bring him up, he's in the HL now. If you bring him back up just for that game on Monday, I seriously hope that he gets knocked out of his, I hope he ends up in the hospital. Like I seriously hate that dude so much. He's a fucking sideshow and it just goes to show how stupid ranger fans are that they see this fucking idiot who does nothing but hurt their team. All right. And they cheer for him every time he touches the fucking puck.
Every time he touches the puck, 19,000 people cheer like they just won the Stanley Cup. So I, as much as I hate the Rangers, the Rangers with Rempe make me fucking irate. So I.
Tony (1:17:45)
and they haven't won a cup since 94 either.
Bobby (1:17:46)
Nice.
Chris (1:17:47)
No they have not. And they're not going to win it this year.
Tony (1:17:51)
right?
Bobby (1:17:52)
Yeah, you're gonna call him up when he doesn't give you a better chance to win. That's just stupid. So I think they're going to though. I honestly do.
Chris (1:17:55)
Right, it just goes to show you that, because it's, just take out one of their players and...
Bobby (1:18:02)
They need something they might think this is a spark for them. don't know.
Tony (1:18:07)
It's gonna be nasty, I have no doubt that it's gonna be nasty.
Bobby (1:18:10)
I'm worried like for what you said Chris that just because the hockey gods like to fucking pull on our heartstrings like we're gonna lose this game when the Rangers are obviously going downhill and we're obviously going uphill and my god now it's awful we lost to the Rangers even though they suck but nah we're gonna I think we're gonna kick their ass both both physically and in goal going like 5-1 maybe 5-2
Chris (1:18:29)
I'm gonna be honest with you. I think the slow starts these last couple this last week or so could very well be this Looking forward to that game I think this game had every devil has had this thing circled since the schedule came out after what they did last year and how What they did to us last year I don't think there's any way the Devils lose this fucking game and I don't think they lose it on the scoreboard and I don't think they lose it as far as physicality goes because I think
Tony (1:18:53)
There you go.
Chris (1:18:58)
that it brendan dylan we know will be in the lineup we know that cobus avid shall be in the lineup mcdermott will be in the lineup for that one i just don't know do you really wanna fuck with us like that's how it like even rempy like do you really wanna fuck with this team there's multiple dudes that can just beat the living shit out of you and i i'd they have to i mean i think tomorrow night
I'll say an overtime win or a shootout win, maybe the other way. I think we definitely get a one out of it, maybe two. But I think that the statement win for the Devils, it's not necessarily a statement win because we're just doing a lot better than the Rangers, but a little bit of a stomp on the throat, nail kind of, just getting that nail started in the Rangers' coffin, that'll be Monday night. They've got to. They've got to.
Bobby (1:19:38)
It's more of a stomp on your throat when you're down kind of move. Yeah.
Chris (1:19:49)
Definitely be on before I think we'll probably get a show in before that maybe you know before the game or or Sunday night or something or maybe even after the game that would be good if we are all awake to maybe do something after the game on Monday what
Tony (1:20:02)
Monday? I could probably do Monday would be actually I could probably do Monday night.
Chris (1:20:07)
Maybe we'll try and schedule that after the game will hop on and you know We'll have that nice and fresh and we can talk about that. So that'll be fun So anything else boys?
Tony (1:20:20)
Fuck the chiefs. That's about it.
Bobby (1:20:20)
Good bro. Fuck the cheese.
Chris (1:20:21)
Alright, fuck the Chiefs. Hopefully the Vikings don't blow it against the Cardinals on Sunday. And we can go to 10 and 2. That would be awesome. you know, Daniel Jones is now a Viking. What do you think of that, Tone?
Tony (1:20:34)
I saw that. saw that. Yeah. I was thought of you because you were just telling me the day before that the Raiders should sign Daniel Jones. Remember? You're like the Raiders should nap him. Yeah. The Raiders. Yeah. He said no. get it.
Chris (1:20:40)
I did. They wanted to. Daniel Jones said no. And you know what though? I I don't think it's because of the Raiders per se. think that after what he just went through in New York, I think he's just saying, I need to reset. I need to go somewhere where there's a good infrastructure, good coaches. I'm not going to be relied on to go out there every Sunday. I need to reset. And Minnesota is one of the best places for quarterbacks.
So I think that's why he ended up. I think next year, Darnold will be gone. JJ will be the starter. And I think that Daniel Jones, if he sticks around, will be a good backup for JJ.
Tony (1:21:20)
I don't know if you saw any that game today, Chris, but man, you know what killed us too is the Raiders was Carlson missed all these. mean, the guy doesn't miss and just missing today and, and then powers Johnson, you know, at the end of the game, I don't know if you saw any of the highlights, but so we, were like in field goal range to win the game with like seconds left. And then we had a miss snap and I just, I thought, dude, I was like, I just couldn't, I stood up, my wife was watching it she's, I just,
Chris (1:21:26)
I heard he missed three of them.
Mm-hmm. He snapped the ball. He snapped the fucking ball without... I saw that.
Tony (1:21:48)
I don't even had the, I didn't even have the words, man. I was like, this is our season. just, but you know, was at NC and they're showing Taylor Swift and Kelsey and just, it's just a nightmare, man. And you can see Mahomes, Mahomes was like, you can see it in his face. He's like, I'll give him credit. Cause you could tell he's like, we got really lucky today.
Chris (1:21:54)
is
Yeah, and they've gotten lucky like four times this year. So yeah.
Tony (1:22:08)
this year.
Chris (1:22:11)
this is true alright so yes black friday game and then yet in the rest of the games of the
Bobby (1:22:14)
I didn't even know there was football on today.
Tony (1:22:18)
Prime. That's another thing. got to have an app for everything. Now I, I watched the game on Amazon Prime. You know, I have the bootleg sites and everything, but I have to say it did go pretty good, man. But you got to like to watch a full season of football. Now you have to have like seven different channels. You have to, it's, it's insane.
Chris (1:22:35)
I tell ya, my Gotham sports app wasn't working, so I went to the NHL webcast and I watched the devil game on that today. It was perfect. It was absolutely perfect. Yep.
Tony (1:22:44)
Sometimes it rolls great, right? There's some games are screwy, but for the majority, they roll pretty good on some of those.
Chris (1:22:49)
Yes, so I'm not even gonna bother with that app anymore for any games that I'm not gonna be home for I'm just gonna watch them on that on the webcast. It was perfect So alright, well, let's wrap this thing up and we will get the hell out of here wherever you're listening to us You guys know the routine a like a subscription a download a five-star review.
