This episode the boys talk some NFL playoffs. The Devils dramatic victory over the Lightning. A look ahead at the Champs coming to The Rock. Who is your dream opponent in a cup final?
[00:00:05] Hey everyone, Mr. Devil here, Kenny Danico, three-time Stanley Cup champion of the New Jersey Devils, and you're listening to the Uncle Puckers NJD Podcast. Let's go Devils! It's pretty cool what Bobby did, right? Yeah, definitely. Yeah, it looks good. So we are the Uncle Puckers, Chris and Tony right now, and hopefully Bobby will be joining us shortly. But what's up, Tony? How are you, buddy?
[00:00:34] Well, you know, we got to talk about Chris here. No, we don't. Are we happy to mention it? No. Because I have to picture it in my image. I have to know what you were wearing during this process. Because I dress up full gear at the house when I get disappointed, so I got to know what the man was wearing. So I had for last week's loss against the Lions, I had my Vikings. I had my Vikings. I was actually wearing a hoodie. I didn't wear, like, I have a few jerseys, but I didn't wear those.
[00:01:04] Did you have a hat with the ball on the top? No, it was just a regular beanie. It was just a straight up purple one. And yeah, I watched that flying game, and then I, you know, of course we got our asses kicked. So actually, I wore no Viking shit last night. I just had my normal clothes on. I just sat down, and I was super stressed.
[00:01:28] And then by the beginning of the second half, I just was kind of flipping back and forth between that, the hockey game. I was watching some of the Blackhawk game, and then I was watching some on Netflix. I kept kind of just jumping back and forth. And, you know, it's, I'll put it this way. Now that it's all over, all of my attention can now go to the New Jersey Devils. So that's how I'm feeling right now. So fuck everything else.
[00:01:55] That team just, I mean, to have a 14-win season and then play your last two games like that, it's just embarrassing. I think that's what football is, though. I think, I thought about this with you. You know, when I woke up this morning, because, you know, the game was on at, like, I think it was 5 o'clock in the morning here. So I checked the score a few times as I woke up through the night. You know, I watched it today. I watched. And it just goes to show you, in the NFL, it doesn't matter what kind of year you have.
[00:02:24] You just, everything can change in, like, you know, one week. And it's, you know, I don't know. To me, it's the NFL more than any other sport that this happens. Like, you could just, one game. You could ride in, like, on the pony, you know, just ready to go. And I asked you the question about what you're wearing, because every Sunday I wear my, I'll have that Raider hat on, the Raider shirt. And then I feel like a fucking clown by the end of the game. But, yeah, it's crazy, you know.
[00:02:51] But it just goes to show you, because the Vikings had such a good year. And then you see the news today already. And it already starts flipping. Is this what Sam Darnold is? Is this what this is? And it's just so, it's such a, you're a hero one day, and they forget about you the next. And this is true. And when it comes to Darnold, I was, I was really happy with the way he was playing that year. And I thought he had a good year. But at the same time, I was not one of those people that ever thought that we have to sign this guy to a long-term deal.
[00:03:20] I argue with people all the time on social media and stuff, whatever Viking stuff I was on, because they're like, Vikings are the biggest idiots if they let this guy go. And I try to explain to people, like, you didn't move off of the big contract that Kirk Cousins was holding just to, a year later, jump into another high-priced quarterback like Sam Darnold. Like, you need to build this team around a rookie quarterback on a rookie-scale contract.
[00:03:48] If they're saying $40 million or $50 million next year, this guy's going to be getting. I mean, he probably would get that. I think the last two weeks took quite a bit of money out of his pocket, to be honest with you. Like, if they would have won a playoff game, they won last night, even if they lost to Philly next week, I think, yeah, $45 million, $50 million. Now, I'm not so sure. Because I'll tell you right now, as great as he looked this year, like these last two weeks, he looked absolutely terrible.
[00:04:17] And those are the two most important games that this team has played. And he completely pissed down his fucking leg when the lights were the brightest. So, I don't know. I'm glad that, like, we know now, okay, there's not going to be any more Darnold talk. It's going to be J.J., and that's what I want. I want to see McCarthy. Well, you said after last week, I think we had spoken this week, and you had said, like, after they lost to Detroit, you kind of, that was, you just kind of saw the big, the writing on the wall, you know?
[00:04:47] So, you know, yeah, like I said, it's the most unforgiving sport. I feel like, you know, I've really been like, my wife's been going, she went to the Raiders game with me this year, and I've been, she watches the games with me now, and she's starting to get it, too. I was like, man, you can have a, look at the Patriots, right? You can basically roll the whole season. And then, boom. Next thing you know, you're a meme for the next nine months or whatever. Yeah. And, I mean, this is like hockey, any other sport, hockey, basketball, baseball.
[00:05:16] Like, you go into game one of a playoff game, and if you have a clunker, you can shake it off. You shake it off, and you're back, you know, the day after, and you're doing it again, you can completely flip the script from one game to the next. If you go out there and just, I mean, look, I was watching that, what playoff game was it this weekend? It was the Packer-Eagle game. Like, the Packers aren't that bad, and yet they couldn't do anything right.
[00:05:42] You just have those games, and they always come up at the worst possible times, right? The same thing with the Steelers, who looked good all year. I mean, they were getting to bed a little bit at the end of the season, but like, they just, you have one chance. You have three hours to put it together, and a lot of times it's just, you know, a bounce here, a bounce there. Something doesn't go your way. Shit that. And as a Viking fan, you as a Raider fan, like, we've seen this a million times, right?
[00:06:09] Like, how many playoff games, because I can count on all my fingers and toes how many times we went into the playoffs where I'm just watching games. Like, this has not happened all fucking year. And now that there's no tomorrow, we cannot, you know, connect a 10-yard pass. We can't block. We can't do this. We can't do that. It really is crazy. Do you think the fumble was the killer for you guys, the Darnold fumble? Oh, my God, yes. Yes. It's like Tampa with Mayfield, too. That was their – that was how I did them in. Yep.
[00:06:39] And that's another team, too. Like, right? That's not what they – you know, I know they had a lot of fumbles, but, like, they can go out and throw for, you know, 400 yards every fucking game. And they just couldn't do it. But, like, with the Vikings, I'm kind of trying to stay optimistic. Like, this was a rebuild year, supposedly, right? We weren't even supposed to win seven games. They won 14. They got bounced in the first round.
[00:07:04] Now, this is the second time that Kevin O'Connell has gotten bounced in the first round of the playoffs in his three years that he's been here. I would like to see him, you know, kind of exercise that demon next year. But, like, you got a rookie contract. You got a quarterback who I think is going to be fantastic in J.J. McCarthy. I think J.J. McCarthy can bring this team to the Super Bowl. This year, I don't know, man. Detroit looks good. I'm really rooting for the commanders.
[00:07:33] I want to see Washington do some. See, I don't have a play in the game, so I'm going for Detroit only because I know you can't root for Detroit. It's kind of like when I saw Denver go this weekend, I was happy when I saw San Diego go this weekend. And I do think I always say to you on the personal side, I do think Herbert's a good quarterback, but I do think he gets too much credit for not achieving anything. And, you know, but who am I to say? I'm a guy who's hoping that Tom Brady, who destroyed my organization many years ago, saves it. So, you know. That's true.
[00:08:01] Now, real quick, and we'll get on the hockey, but I stuck up for Justin Herbert all the time. And then I watched that game, and I thought – I even said it to a couple guys at work. I'm like, my buddy's been saying it for a while, and I'm kind of with him on this. Like, I think that that dude is very overrated. You take him, because you can't say no. You'd like him on your team. But, man, I don't know if he's not – I've watched him every time. I've watched him a lot being in that division and, you know, just not overly impressed.
[00:08:28] I put a lot of the blame on the Chargers before this year on Brandon Staley. Yeah. And just what a goddamn buffoon he was. And then, you know, okay, wow, Jim Harbaugh. Like, it doesn't get much better than Harbaugh. He's going – and you still have the same result with Herbert. So, what's the common denominator here? It's Justin Herbert. So, yeah, he's got to do something. Because I like the Chargers. They're one of my AFC teams that I really like.
[00:09:00] I think it all goes back to when I was a kid in those powder blue uniforms. Dan Fouts. I was big Stan Humphrey. I don't know if you understand the man. Oh, yeah. But, anyway, let's – how about we talk some hockey? Football's over for both of us. So, it's now our whole – all our time, all of our energy can be dedicated to our devils. So – And I got to say, Chris, we talked about this goaltending thing with Markstrom.
[00:09:28] I'm happy they've been playing him, man. He's been getting – it kind of reminds me of going back in time a little bit where the goalie gets most of the load, right? And, you know, Markstrom's been the guy in net. He's been handling the load is what you're trying to say. Yes, I was trying to not put it there. Well, do we have a lineup for tonight? Because we were talking – Some scratches I heard. Oh, yeah? Do you have the lineup? No, I'll look right now.
[00:09:55] I was just – I actually heard a couple hours ago that there's going to be – might be a few little changes. I don't know if anybody's sick or not like that. I saw Keith made a – there was something on Twitter earlier today that there might be a few adjustments. So, I'll check while we're talking about this. So, I checked a little bit ago. I didn't see much. Bobby. What's up there, Mr. B? How are we doing? Bobby DeBreen. Bobby, you popped in on a good time. Do you happen to have the lineup for tonight? No, not yet. I was actually just on X2.
[00:10:24] I didn't see it posted. Amanda Stein didn't post her lineup card yet? Not to mind at all. I don't see it either. Bobby, nice intro, by the way. Thank you, bud. A lot of bangs and explosions going on. You have a nice face. Thank you, man. You're welcome. Let's see if I can find her.
[00:10:46] Because we were saying that, you know, if we were going to start any time, like where would – what's his name? Alan start. And we were saying possibly this game tonight. So, that's just what I was curious. If he was starting tonight or they were going to put – whatchamacallit? But Markstrom in because he's just been – Markstrom's just been so freaking amazing. So. Yeah, some of those saves against the Lightning.
[00:11:15] And it's nice to see them beat – after I was at that game earlier this year, which was a total shit show. Might have been one of the worst Devils games besides one last week, I would say. Might have been one of the worst games of the year this year I was at. And, I mean, it was like a whole different team out there. And it was nice to see them beat Tampa. I had said on the last show that I thought that that Tampa game on the other night was a must win for this team. I really thought that they had to kind of exercise that demon and finally beat this team.
[00:11:43] Because there are a couple of teams that make me very nervous come playoff time. And Tampa's one of them. And Toronto's the other. They might be it. I think we can hang with the Hurricanes. I think we can hang with the Capitals. And we can hang with the Panthers. I'm curious to how we play when we play, like, Boston. We haven't played them yet. We play the Flyers for the first time on Saturday. And then, you know, actually a tough game this week, right? This weekend. I mean, the next four.
[00:12:12] We got the Panthers tonight in a couple hours. Then we have the Maple Leafs in Toronto on Thursday. And then back-to-back Saturday and Sunday with the Flyers in Ottawa. Both afternoon games. Don't always bode well for the Devils. Right. So. And I'm curious to see how we play the Flyers. Not the Flyers, but the Panthers. Because, you know, obviously the last we played them, we beat them twice in the same week. So they're going to have a little bit of, I'm sure we're going to have to watch Kachuk around some of our guys tonight and stuff. And, you know, it's going to be interesting.
[00:12:40] Because believe me, Florida's in that locker room saying, hey, these guys came and beat us. Like, what was it? Like, two and three days? Or was it back-to-back even? No, it was. There was a day in between. It was two and three days. And then, you're right. And then they were both in Florida. So I think we're done with them after tonight. I don't think we'll see them again. But, yeah. So we have the Panthers tonight. And they played last night, though. They played. Yeah, and they lost, right? Yeah. They played and lost. And we're on three days rest. So it doesn't look good. Oh, yeah. We're fucked.
[00:13:11] I know. I haven't been on the show in a while. What a wild two weeks, right? I mean, every time I'm looking, it's like, it was like the last week was just. And I was watching some of those games. Because when I wake up over here, some of those games are just starting. Those late games. And it just, like, it was a rough couple games to watch, man. Yeah, it was. It was not the best road trip. But, you know, the old adage, if you're going to suck, suck on the road. And they did. But they were able, I mean, to come out and get that win against Seattle, you lost to the Rangers.
[00:13:41] But at least you ended up pulling a point out. And you were playing an extremely well-rested Ranger team. And we were just still on a road trip, even though we were kind of back from the road trip. And then just to see how they played against Tampa, which I thought was just a super fantastic game. I'm curious. Like, Bobby, what did you think of that game? We didn't even talk about it. Oh, I love that game. I love the way they played. I think you felt that they needed that reprieve, that change to be home again.
[00:14:10] They had been playing much better at home in recent weeks. I thought they knew. Just like you, Chris. I think they listened to you. And they knew this was like a must-win game in a way. It really was. Because they still have a hell of a schedule in front of them. And, you know, I don't know if you guys talked about it at all. But just putting Mason out there and that power play in overtime. We did. And it worked. And the way it worked, like that's just not any regular net front presence guy who got the goal.
[00:14:40] The way he swung, like spin swung, and half slap shot at that thing from like a couple feet out into the top corner was pretty amazing. I mean, he is one of the best there for sure. He knew his job. He had one job. If he had any puck come loose to him, he was going to throw it on net hard. And he did. And we win. It was beautiful. I love Mason. I mean, I loved him. I liked him when we had him before. When I watched him play with Carolina in the playoffs, I was like, damn, man, I'm pissed we got rid of this guy.
[00:15:07] And now that we have him back, I'm like, he's one of those guys that you could picture on the 95 team. Yeah. And he said to my wife watching that Tampa game, I was like, you know, I would buy a Mason jersey. I'm like, at that point now, I would buy a Mason jersey. And, you know, to have the coaching staff that we do, which I think, you know, so many people think like coaching doesn't matter in hockey because of the way that you just kind of roll through guys. I mean, people are getting fired left and right.
[00:15:38] And coaching absolutely matters. When you have a good coach that knows and has the pulse of the team and knows what he's looking at and is willing to make those changes. Like you're in overtime. You get the power play against a really good Tampa team. And, you know, about a minute or so, this power play goes by. And you just, you know, he knew. Like whoever made the call on the bench, I have to assume it was Keefe, saying, you know, they're tracking up front. They're tracking towards the blue line.
[00:16:07] They're going after Bratt and Hughes. They're leaving the middle of the in front of the net wide open for defense. I mean, for let's put four forwards out there. Let's throw Mason out there. And it fucking worked to perfection, even though it was a busted play. I mean, the pass was not the pass that he was intended. And it ended up just, you know, trickling right in front. Like he said, it was a bouncer. And he just kind of spun and whacked it. It kind of makes it even more impressive. But this wasn't a clean play.
[00:16:36] This was just his instinct saying, I know what I'm going to do with this right now. And we're going to win this game. I just simply amazing in front of the net. I can't say enough about his presence up there. And Jack Hughes, you know, even though you look at the Ranger game, he comes out and he takes responsibility right away. He's like, you know, and this is the kind of guy that, I don't know. I mean, I have to say, me and my wife were talking about this the other night, actually. I said, you know, after her, she's become more of a Jack Hughes fan after we met him this year. And he was with the kids. And it was awesome. Let me know, like, it's easy, believe it or not, when you deal with some of these guys and they're good to your family. You just like him even more.
[00:17:05] We already love Jack Hughes. But what is not, unless you're a Ranger fan, you're not a devil fan. Like, how could you not put this guy, like, on the pedestal? Like, he is just, I don't know. Everyone, I know he's cocky during the interviews and stuff. But, I mean, he's got everything. He takes. He's actually simmered down on that a little bit this year, too. He takes responsibility. You know. Yeah, but, you know, he was the first couple of seasons, like, you know. My shit doesn't stink kind of persona.
[00:17:33] And I don't think that's really him. I don't. I think that he is much more just, you know, he seems he hates doing interviews, right? Which is fine. You know, I get that. You know, you're stuck listening to people ask you the same stupid questions over and over again. It's tedious, you know. What were you thinking when you were going in, like, mom, you know. So, can you imagine being at your job and after every shift, you had people standing outside.
[00:18:02] You know, when you were, you know, like, Tony, like, you know, when you were cooking that burger and you saw that it was, like, right there from medium rare to medium. But you knew to get it off that grill right at that moment so it wouldn't be overcooked. Like, you know, after a while, you're just kind of like, it's what I do. Just trying to hang out with waitresses, you know. Yeah. You know what I always like is that it's always that in between the intermissions, they're like, well, what are you trying to do there? And I'm just like, he's trying to put the puck in the fucking net.
[00:18:32] I'm like, it's always the same answer. But they actually look about, like, if you ever look at their faces, they're like, how am I going to say this without saying that? The goal is to put your puck in the net. And, you know, like I said, I've said it a million times. I think Amanda Stein has the best job in the world. Like, to be able to travel with this team, be at every practice, be at every game, interview these guys, have a pulse on the whole organization. It's fucking amazing. Right.
[00:18:58] But my goodness, when they post, like, the post-game shit on YouTube or whatever, and she's asking four or five guys the exact same question over and over again. It's just like, dude, come on. Nobody wants to watch this. It's like nobody wants to watch this. It's all sports all the time. As much as many sports we've watched our lifetime, you can always guarantee what they're going to ask each time. It's just what it is. It's part of the package. You just kind of deal with it. That's why I enjoy it. I know you guys don't like him.
[00:19:27] And I actually, I'm going to say I like him. I think he's a good coach. I know everybody hates him. But that's why I like Torts. Because this guy makes you really, before you ask this guy a question, you might get the phone shoved up your ass that you're hanging in front of him. Which, I actually like that about him. I like Torts. How he handles the media. I just think that he is. And it's players like him too, Chris, which is a huge thing. If you listen to any player, they all respect Torts because, you know, it says a lot these days because it's hard to coach these guys. It's a different time than it was 20 years ago.
[00:19:53] And the thing about Torts too, and you can look at the Flyers, and we'll talk about that game probably later on in the week. But if you watch the Flyers, they're not a very good team. They don't have, you know, superstars. I mean, Mitch Kopp will be one. I think the kid is going to be phenomenal. But right now, they don't have that. They have, you know, a solid team put together. But if you watch how they play, they work their asses up. They block shots, and they're always getting dirty.
[00:20:21] They're always in the fucking, you know, trying everything they can, getting sticks in the way. They'll battle you on the boards. They'll fight. They'll do whatever the hell they have to do to score goals. And that's Tordorov. You know? Imagine how much you're getting yelled at too in that locker room every night. You know pretty much. Like, you know, he don't hold back. So every night you're getting your ass reamed, and you still go out there and, you know, do what you got to do. And I'll tell you, like watching the Sheldon Keith post-game stuff where they'll post, like, his locker room after the games and stuff.
[00:20:51] And, you know, him talking. He has a very NFL kind of coach way about it. The way he talks to the guys and everything like that. Like, you know, hockey is very easy to just flush a game and move on to the next because there's so many of them. But he doesn't seem to really do that a whole lot. He really does let the guys kind of, let's talk about everything you guys did good. He gives out the game pucks. He'll let them relish in this one game.
[00:21:18] And then, okay, we move forward where so many of these guys are just, like, on to the next. And I just think that that's, he's, the attaboys are always there. And yet he's tough on them in a lot of ways. He's very honest with them without being a jerk-off, you know, like Tortorella. You know, like, he'll tell you, yeah, he shouldn't have made that play or, you know, shouldn't have done it. He'll be very honest.
[00:21:42] But at the same time, he always kind of opens it up to why, you know, instead of just laying blame at people's feet, maybe it's, you know, this is why this happened. Because of something that happened earlier. Or maybe I should have changed that line out quicker. I should have done, like, he's, I love him as a coach. And I know I'm not really explaining it well, but when you watch it, he does kind of have that NFL kind of feel to him. The way he at least interacts with the locker room.
[00:22:08] The only issue with that is, is that, you know, it's social media and they're showing you that it's always after the wins. I've never seen those little reels. Like, I want to know what he's, I've read what he said and he could be stern. Like, that's not a problem. You know, I'm not saying he's soft in any way, but I would love to see the same speech in the middle of that skid. You know, at game four, like, what does he really have to say? Because he'll say the right things to the press, but I'd love to see what he says to the players. But we're not going to get to see that. It's funny you say that, Bobby, because you actually go on YouTube, though.
[00:22:34] You can see, speaking of Torch, you can see him, like, reaming out his team in the locker room. They actually have videos of this. Like, and he, like, I mean, it's pretty intense. You know, I think he carries himself a little different. I know what Chris is talking about with the NFL locker room. Because I would always, of course, when my team would win, I'd always watch, this year was four times Antonio Pierce talk. And it was a very, it was a joke. It was, oh, yeah. Because it wasn't many times, but there was a certain charisma in that locker room that you had. It was almost like you really felt like this was one of the players, too, talking.
[00:23:02] It was like, yeah, I know what Chris is trying to say. A hundred percent. And, yeah, I just, I love him. I love him as a coach. I hope he's our coach for a long time. I really do. Did we discuss this awesome sliding lower banner that Chris has on the site? Yeah. Do you like that? That's a beautiful thing. It's actually positive, too, because I swear, you know, if you watch the TV and you see this on there, it's always awful crazy. I mean, is it not like every time you turn on the TV, there's just insane shit going on every week now?
[00:23:30] Like, I know it was, I didn't, wasn't even talking to you guys yet for the drones when that happened. And then everything, you got the bird flu, the norovirus, and now everything's burning down. It's like, so this is actually something positive underneath here. Yep. You're a hundred percent right. It's more like this stuff. Except I spelled that wrong. Tony, I usually go about two weeks in between watching the news, just kind of catch up at the end. But all we did was put the word drones in one of our episodes.
[00:23:59] It was the highest downloaded episode. I forgot about that now. That's good. That's done now. Now everyone's worried. It's always, it's, you know, I mean, think about it was SARS. The drones aren't done, but the news coverage of it now, it's the fires, you know, it's, it jumps up. So it's, you know, it's always something, it's like a two week cycle, everything before it gets really, it's something else. Yeah. I mean, it's, it's, that's the problem with, yeah. How's that one? There you go.
[00:24:27] And you still, are you guys actually, there you go. Are you seeing those still, Chris, up there, the drones all over the place? Oh, every single night. So it's, it's every single night. And it's like, it's absolutely crazy. And, and the thing we've talked about this, but like anybody that covers it, the news people, whatever they're, they're all basically like, well, the government's saying that it's, you know, it's recreational drones and it's airplanes. And the people in New Jersey are fucking dumb as hell.
[00:24:56] And they don't know what they're looking at. And meanwhile, I'll go outside at nine o'clock at night and look up. School buses flying over your house. Well, basically, I mean, there was one we saw. So it was, I think two nights. What the fuck happened here? That was weird. Something just popped up. All right. Anyway. So what? Nothing. It popped away. Oh, it popped away. Notice Chris isn't running the fall scores from yesterday on the bottom there. Go ahead, Chris. Oh, God. Kill myself.
[00:25:26] So my, my wife and I dropped my son off at his buddy's house near like downtown TR and stuff. So we were, we got out of the car. He was driving because he has his permit. So he got out. I went around to hop into the driver's seat. And as him and I were talking for a minute outside of the car and we looked up and there was a drone coming. My wife hadn't seen him. Like she was like, I think I saw like one or two, but she wasn't. She was, you know, I go outside at work and I see him everywhere. She's like, there's my crazy one again. Outside yelling at the stars.
[00:25:56] She's like, I really want to see one. And so my son and I see one, but she gets out, but it's below the tree line. So we turn and we start coming home and I look to my left and there's four of them and they're very low and big. So I pull over and we get out of the car and I'm videotaping it, taking pictures and stuff. There were four of them coming in a straight line. They were all following each other. They were as big as my Nissan Sentra, if not bigger. They were very low.
[00:26:24] And then behind me, I turned and I looked and there was a big fixed wing drone. Like the fucking ones that dropped bombs on, you know, the Middle East and shit. Like that's the kind that was flying. And that was super low. And so in a matter of three minutes, we saw five of them and they were all really big. You sure you're not just texting the wrong shit? Somebody's reading your text. How many episodes did you have that night, Chris? Dude, but my whole thing is this.
[00:26:52] Like, I know they're ours. All right. Because, I mean, it's the only thing that makes sense. They have to be our jobs. Right. They're not a foreign government. I've heard every person try and rationalize this and nothing makes sense other than it's our government. That makes sense. But what the fuck are they doing? That's all. That's all I want to know. What are you doing? Like there's nothing to worry about. Just go about your day. Right. Exactly. Just go about your day. Oh, I've heard everything.
[00:27:22] So, oh, they're looking for radioactive material because there's a dirty bomb in New Jersey. So they're only looking for it at night. Like how these drones are. This is another thing people don't realize. The drones are not out during the day. They do. You don't see one. But as soon as the sun goes down, they're everywhere. Everybody knows that downtown Tom's River would be ground zero for an attack on this. Right. I mean, if you're going to take out the United States, you start with New Jersey.
[00:27:50] I mean, Ocean County Mall, wipe that shit out. It's already wiped out. I mean, come on. But yeah, like they're only at night. So, OK. They take your looking for uranium and throw that away because that's not happening. The other one is, oh, this is a foreign country, foreign government. They have they have a ship. I've heard this ship in international waters that are sending these drones and we can't do anything because their ship is in international waters. OK.
[00:28:20] OK. If that was the case, then wouldn't we have a ship in international waters just blowing these things out of the fucking sky? I mean, it's pretty. So. Pull up right next to them. Excuse me. Hello. Hi. Yeah. That doesn't make any sense. Where are these things being powered up? Where are they landing? Where are they coming? Like when the top the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office saw 50 of them come off of the ocean like this is back in like early mid-November.
[00:28:50] 50 of them come off of the ocean and they reported this and they called the Coast Guard and a Coast Guard cutter was off of Iowa Beach State Park and 13 drones, they said, look like they came out of the ocean and were following the Coast Guard cutter. But now nobody talks about it. They came out afterwards and were like, yeah, we saw 13. These are military people. These are people that should be trusted, you know? And yeah, now nobody talks about it. We had mayors. We had senators.
[00:29:18] We had all kinds of officials out there when this first started, right? Like we demand answers. What are these drones? Now nobody says anything. Now it's what drones? We don't know. They're planes. You're all stupid. Like what the fuck is going on? But in 2025, would you be surprised if a bunch of spaceships just landed and aliens climbed on? I mean, it wouldn't actually, you know, if you would ask me this 20 years ago, I'd have been like, man, that would be insane. Now I'd be like, ah. No, I probably wouldn't be surprised.
[00:29:46] I wouldn't be surprised after everything. We know more about outer space than the depths of the ocean. So perhaps they're just coming from the ocean, Chris. Yeah. Maybe they are. Way deep down. They don't implode for some magical reason. And then they just come up. Why does alien tech look like drones you can buy at BJ's for $130 then? You want to go to an alien target. I want to go to an alien target. So it's not alien. It's not a foreign government. They're not looking for nuclear bombs.
[00:30:15] And all the government had to say was just, oh, we're mapping shit. You know, like that's all they had to say. Like, it's our drones. They're perfectly safe. We're not going to send them over residential areas. They're mapping whatever the fuck they wanted to say. And I think most people would have just been cool with that. I also think most people right now are just cool with it. They're just like, yeah, whatever. The drones are up there. Like, I can't. Like, it bothers me. It still bothers me. And they're saying that it could be people. Well, they're saying it could be like just random people flying.
[00:30:44] I'm like, I don't know anybody. I mean, I'm not you guys that have gigantic bus size drones in their backyard who are like, hey, Tony, I'm going to shoot this up tonight. And not especially not 100 of them the same night all of a sudden. Right. Yeah. I know a few people. Everybody get them for Christmas. Size ones, but not like they're describing. And certainly I don't know how you would pull together 50 people to just throw them all up coming, you know, from out there. Bobby knows what's up. Bobby. And there's some secrets over there, buddy. I know a few people that are like hobbyists that have them, but they're not even in this state. First of all. Bobby's got three drones in his backyard the size of Mack trucks.
[00:31:15] It is frigging. It's really it's really unsettling and I don't like it. Don't like it. But anyway, it's all right. I bet you if I go outside tonight, I'll stay. I mean, it's everything. Coming up purple for Chris. Not until September. Right now. All my focus is on New Jersey Devils. Yeah, we bought that up earlier, Bobby. I got yelled. I got a little I got reamed out in early. I didn't even want to talk about it. And he forced me to, which is actually good. I got it off my chest.
[00:31:45] Now I feel better. So it sucks, man. You're like the biggest Vikings fan. I know mostly because most Vikings fans are in Minnesota, but like you're a really big fan. And I know you're, you know, hoping they did better, but you kind of called it. You've been calling it for the last couple of weeks. Yeah. I mean, we've broken a million times, right, Chris? You just know it's just how you're going to get it. How is it going to happen to you? Or, uh, and this wasn't a team that I watched all year that I was like,
[00:32:13] this is a team that is going to be really hard to beat in the playoffs. It was kind of like, this is a team that, you know, I kind of expected what, like you said, I kind of called it. Like I did expect what happened to happen. I was, I wasn't shocked. I was hoping when I got really excited with that, that scoop and score that was called back. Um, cause then it was 10, 10. I was like, all right, now we can do something. Then they called it back, said that his arm was moving forward Stafford's arm, which I don't. All right. You want to give me that,
[00:32:43] but don't tell me it wasn't fucking intentional grounding. There wasn't a fricking receiver around it. Uh, but of course, you know, Tony about any kind of arm movement rule, anything like a tough rule or anything like that. I'm trying to save my, I mean, you know, I mean, we're all as a Raider fan, we have no hope. We're just hoping this guy does something for us. You know, we're hoping we get Ben Johnson as a coach. I mean, this is where we got our fingers crossed, you know, I wouldn't want Ben Johnson as a coach. Ah, see, I don't know. I've been hearing, you know, it's, you know,
[00:33:11] the thing is, is that times do you see a good coordinator, a great coordinator, not know what the fuck they're doing as a head coach. Like that. That Ben Johnson is a great offensive coordinator, but I just think for what the Raiders need, they don't need a first time head coach coming in and I, they need structure and culture and discipline. Could be Pete Carroll. That's who they need. You know, as long as he doesn't, as long as he doesn't run the ball at the end, you know,
[00:33:40] I mean, I think the biggest problem. Yeah. I think the, I think the biggest problem is that, you know, back in the day you would see a coach get some years to coach and you, you know, you look at like the lions coaches record as you, you should. So, you know, you might lose a couple of seasons at first you give them, but there's just, the Raiders give you no time to coach. They pull you in. I mean, Jack Del Rio. I loved Jack Del Rio. I mean, gone, pull them out. You know, it's just, there's not much of a breathing room and the tools you're given on that team is so, so bad. And I don't know.
[00:34:10] We'll see, you know, thank God for the devils. Well, yeah. And there are, but real quick, and this goes to hockey too, but there, there are organizations. Unfortunately, the Raiders are one of them that are just shit shows that their organizations, it's going to be very hard to put a winning team on the field or on the ice when the actual whole organization is a goddamn shit show. And that's the jets and the Raiders and the Panthers and, and hockey. It's, you know, it used to be the Arizona coyotes.
[00:34:40] And, you know, it's just these franchises that you just know, or they're just run like shit. What does Rogers do now, Chris? I mean, this, you know, it might interest some of our listeners since you're, we're in that area, the metropolitan area, but what does Rogers do now? Is he done? He's done in New York. Do you want to know what I heard? Don't, please don't come to Vegas. How about this? Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rogers to Vegas, reuniting McCarthy and Rogers. And then you get Devante back. Cause it's amazing. I have hair still.
[00:35:11] Yeah, I know. Right. It is the Raiders on my face now, but silver and black, but that's what they've done to me. But I know I don't want McCarthy. I don't want, I saw him when I saw that this morning, that he was not going back to the Cowboys. Of course I said, Oh man, you know, and I don't know. It's, it's rough. I mean, like I said, the only thing for the only thing I did think of, I said, see, I said, the playoffs go these, these playoff teams only played one more game than us this year. They're done too. I mean, yeah. I mean, at the end with the Vikings, Oh, it was a 14 win season.
[00:35:40] Big fucking deal. The Raiders played, you know, won four games. They don't, we only played one more game. You don't even get like a week of it where even if you get swept, you're, you played like for eight or nine days. Yeah. It sucks, man. That's what we were saying before. Like with football, it's the only sport that it's just, you just have one bad night and you're done. At least with hockey and the, you know, playoff series, you have a bad night, you can bounce back. And you could do it, you know, in two days, go and try again. That's why when the writing,
[00:36:10] you remember when the devils, when the devils got eliminated from the lightning a few years ago, I remember they won, I think it was the third game they won. Yeah. And I still, I told everyone's like, Oh, they have a chance. I was like, ah, the lightning just like, you know, that was when the lightning was kind of starting to roll. We started seeing it happen. And, you know, and you kind of knew like, yeah, hockey, you have that chance to have that really shitty game and then come out rolling. Who won the cup that year? That was 2018, right? Was it Boston? I don't know. I gotta look. Let me see here.
[00:36:41] It was 2018. Cause I think that the, the, whatchamacallit, didn't the lightning win, 20 and 21, the lightning were in it's 20. Who? Capitals. Yeah. The cap. Okay. That was, that's right. And there's a lot of Paul. I've been hearing it everywhere too. In the devil's universe is hall, hall, hall back to the devils. Possibly. I've been hearing a lot of this the last few days. I want to bring that up with you guys. I also want to ask you guys one other question about the playoffs coming up, but first it's the most wonderful time of the year,

[00:38:11] We're no more game time, Bobby. I know. Was it something I said? Yes, it was all you. So, all right. So, yeah, the Tower Hall thing does seem to be gaining a little bit more traction. Curiously, what do you guys think of that? And if that trade was to happen, I don't think that would be for a player or anything, right? That would be for, like, just probably a draft pick or so. So, I mean... Yeah, because after this year, he's done. I would think so. Draft pick, futures, something like that, right?
[00:38:40] Maybe a player. I don't know if I would give a player for him. Minor league? No. Depth player of some kind? Depends on who he wanted. I don't know. I mean... I think the later it gets, the more that would be just a draft pick. Yeah. I'll tell you whose name I heard in this that I like. A couple other names. I'm sure Chris is probably going to mention them, so I'll just mention the one that I watched play a lot, who... Yanni Gord. I mean, you know, he was another one I heard tossed into the mix a little bit. And he was a hell of a player in Tampa. He's in Seattle.
[00:39:09] He's in Seattle now, yeah. You know, he left after a couple of those cups. But he was an interesting name I saw. And I'm sure, Chris, you probably have a few more names that you've heard, too. I don't know if you've been listening to the... Well, I mean, I don't have... I have, like... You know, like, personally, I would love Alex Tuck. I always go back to him. And... Brock Nelson's another one they're talking about. Brock Nelson's another one. I don't think he's scored a goal, though, in, like, what? Like, four years now or something? Like, he's... But, you know, but the problem is, like, you have these teams,
[00:39:39] like, the Islanders now are, like, starting to get a little bit on a winning streak. And, you know, teams like Detroit and stuff like that. So, like, that's where I wanted to kind of go over with you guys a little bit, like, later on is, like, what... So, like, real quick. So, Yanni Gord, he's 5'9", and he's 174 pounds. Um, he is a center. So, that's good. Uh, let's see. He's got, like, 16 points, I think, this year. For this year,
[00:40:08] he's played 35 games for Seattle. He has 6 goals, 10 assists, 16 points. He's a minus 5. Career-wise, 580 games, 132 goals, and 332 points. So, it's a third-line center. I mean, that's what we need. Jake Evans is another one, Chris, they're talking about. I like Jake Evans a lot. That's one that I'm kind of, like, I think Jake Evans for that bottom six would be really good. I didn't even give much thought to Yanni Gord,
[00:40:37] but a guy like that. And then also, you know, a Taylor Hall, if you did pick up Taylor Hall, it would probably be in Palat's spot, right? Like, you're looking to play Hall with Bratt News? I kind of like that. That would make sense to me, because then, again, you get, you know, the new Palat, the revived Palat, back down to third line. Hopefully, still chipping in the way he's been, although being fed differently. Yeah, that's where you'd put him. I'm not terrible. Toronto may be interested in Hall, too, is what I'm hearing.
[00:41:08] Toronto, yeah. You know, you know, here's the thing. Like, I'm curious what you guys think, because we have to assume, right, there's only one spot that's going to be open in the East, right? Like, the Maple Leafs have 56 points. They're making the playoff. We all can agree on that, right? Yeah, yeah. The Panthers with 53 points and 44 games played, they're making the playoffs. The Lightning with 49 points and 41 games played, they're making the playoffs.
[00:41:37] The Capitals have 43 games, 61 points, they're making the playoffs. We have 45 games played, 56 points, we're making the playoffs. And then the Hurricanes have 44 points, 44 games played and 55 points, they're making the playoffs. Yeah. So now, the Bruins, I'll say two spots, okay? So the Bruins are sitting at 47 points. The Blue Jackets are 46 points. The Blue Jackets are in the playoffs as of right now, huh? When did that creep up? The Blue Jackets? Yeah. Yeah,
[00:42:07] they're in that second wildcard spot right now. What's more surprising to you guys, the Blue Jackets or the Capitals this year? I mean, what the hell's going on in Washington? Well, I think they're surprising for two different reasons. Like, what Columbus is doing would have been in the summertime like the best I would have said that the Washington Capitals would be doing. Like, competing for a wildcard spot. The fact that Washington is this good and a scary team, I mean, they could legitimately win the Eastern Conference. Just,
[00:42:37] they're a really good team. I would say Washington I'm more surprised. And Ovechkin, he put in what the other night? He put in another goal. I think he's what, 873 now? Yeah, I think he's like 22, 23 away. Yeah, 21 goals or something like that. I would agree with Chris. Washington's more of the surprise because although Columbus is probably doing better than expected, they're really just doing a tick better than a whole bunch of mushy middle guys that aren't doing anything. You know, they're just a point or two higher than all the other teams
[00:43:06] that really aren't playing well or at least not gathering a lot of points. You know, you got, like I said, then the Senators are sitting at 45 points. And then you have the Red Wings which have won seven in a row. They're going for eighth in a row tonight. They're sitting at 44 points. That's tied with the Penguins even though the Penguins, I mean, the Red Wings actually have three games in hand on the Penguins. And then you got the Flyers at 43. You got the Canadians at 44.
[00:43:37] The Rangers at 42. And let's just stop there because the Sabres and the Islanders aren't making the playoffs. But out of all those teams, and it's basically the entirety of the Eastern Conference minus the last place team in the Atlantic, the last place team in the Metropolitan, and the three, top three teams in each division. Who is taking those two spots? I would have to think that the Bruins at 47 points are probably going to be locked into one of them.
[00:44:06] But then who's taking that last one? I hate to say it, but I think Columbus drops out. I agree. I don't think they have the staying power. Still got a lot of season left, you know. By the end of the year, I think it's between the Senators and the Red Wings only because if they just showed they can win seven in a row and they're going for eight, it just goes to show you how any one of these streaks just propels you straight up. We can't win seven in a row. I think in the end it would be the Senators. We can't win four in a row. Yeah.
[00:44:36] The Senators, do you think? I think so. I think that seems a fit. Well, okay. I mean, like, I guess the, so we kind of feel like Columbus is a paper tiger here, right? They're not going to be able to hold on to that spot. The Penguins, I kind of feel the same way about. I don't think that they're going to do a whole lot. the Rangers are the team that kind of, because out of all those teams I mentioned, the Rangers are by far the most talented, right? Out of all the teams that are in the bottom here,
[00:45:05] the Rangers have the most talent on their team. They are the one team out of these guys that you think might be able to crack off a huge winning streak and jump back in. Now, whether or not that happened and maybe that devil's game is going to be something that spark. We don't, we don't want this at all, of course, but I mean, you know, maybe that win the other night was going to spark them, you know, because like you said, they have the tools. It kind of did, right? Because they beat Vegas the game after. And Vegas is tough. Vegas is probably the biggest team in the NHL right now, right? Yeah. I mean, I have,
[00:45:34] like I thought Vegas and right now, okay, so right now I would say the Stanley Cup final, just out of what I've seen, I'd go Vegas against Washington. What about you guys? I'm not willing to give Washington that much success. So, realistically, if I'm not allowed to just simply pick the devils just because you can pick whoever you want. I could see the Panthers putting it together.
[00:46:03] Yeah, that's what I was going to say. Okay. You know, I just want to share this. This is interesting too, though, talking about the seating. So Toronto is a top six Toronto in goal differentials plus 11 the Panthers are plus 10 Tampa Bay is plus 38 go down to the Metro the Capitals are plus 43 we're plus 28 the Hurricanes are plus 24 those are our six locks that we just said and then you get into the wild card and Boston's a minus 26 sitting in the seventh seed and then
[00:46:33] Blue Jackets at a minus two Boston just turned it on, huh? The Rangers are a minus nine Are those six teams the only six teams with a positive goal differential in the Eastern Conference? No, the Senators are a plus two one point out of the wild card spot That's it That's pretty interesting Goal differential tells you a lot It does It's not the whole story but it tells you a lot for sure Yeah I would be interested
[00:47:03] to see what we picked Just curious West is similar so Jets plus 48 Wild plus 10 Stars plus 32 and these pluses are big pluses too that's kind of the thing to take away from this The Knights are plus 34 Edmonton plus 23 and the Kings are plus 21 That's your top six Their number one wild card spot right now is the Avalanche at plus nine and then everybody else is a negative Flames minus 10 Canucks minus six and then all the way down to minus 39 for the Blackhawks Oh no Did you say what Carolina was?
[00:47:34] Carolina was plus Yeah They're plus 24 I mean that's incredible how the top six are so much better than the Wild It is crazy you know for a league that really does talk about parity so much it's like there are the haves and have nots this year more than most years There's just so many have nots right next to each other Yeah I guess that's the parity they want at least you got the fights at the end I'm just very happy that we're not
[00:48:03] going to be a part of it you know I'm glad that like you know the Devils just kind of have to keep doing what they're doing they're going to be fine but what's your pick for a cup final Tom You know I I'm going to go and I'm going to go Florida Vegas Okay A repeat of I don't want that I mean I don't want that but yeah just what I could picture like I said I'm hoping that I still think the Devils need to add and Chris I don't know where I saw you say this
[00:48:33] or it was Bobby I don't know who it was but it was like a week or two ago I don't think I think the Devils need one more thing to really I don't think what they have now not that I can't because you never know right but I think they need another addition to really be there and you know that's just my opinion they're not they're not as complete as they need to be right now Yeah and I think the bottom the bottom six and the lack that lack of that depth scoring is really and a lack of our
[00:49:02] blue line scoring you know like that's something that Devil fans aren't talking about like we always bitch and moan about you know the bottom the bottom six or and it's like what about our D like when's the last time Hamilton scored a goal when's the last time Luke scored a goal like these are our I know that they're defensemen but when your defensemen can pitch in that's what makes you a dangerous and I love Brad but goddamn how many times is he gonna miss those breakaways I know same with Jack what did you say Bobby I'm sorry I said in Luke's case he's come so far
[00:49:32] on the other side of his game you're kind of overlooking the fact that he isn't really putting it in like he's expected to right but he's doing so much like oh he's growing into his position yeah he's great did you guys mention the heart injury like do you think this is maybe you know I mean his production this year right yeah this is this is a this is yeah this is kind of like a gift that you didn't want but like you know I don't think Holla brings a whole lot to this team
[00:50:01] so let's see what how they play without him let's see how they play without Dowling in there and then maybe you can make a decision of whether or not you want to make a trade for a guy like Yanni Gord or a Jake Evans or a guy that you're gonna put in that 3C and maybe move Holla out of the building or down to the fourth line or something but yeah the injury and it does seem pretty significant yeah it's a long term because him and Tatar are the two guys this year that I really expected more from oh fucking I can't
[00:50:31] I'm sorry like Tatar is just a waste of ice most nights I don't know what he's doing on this team I think we were hoping that we were gonna get Tatar from what we had before you know it happens like this I mean we've seen it before in past players and I think that's what happened to that that whole situation he was old two years ago yeah it was lightning in a bottle that year I do think they tried to rekindle it it's probably the one move in retrospect that you might want to have leave for you know a younger guy to come up from the AHL and see what he's worth
[00:51:01] and one thing with the devils that I do want I wanted to bring up to you guys too is that and I heard someone else say this and I want to credit them but I don't know who it was but one thing is I would like us to see us fight a little bit more and I know we're nastier now and I know we're a pushy team we push but I just feel like some of these games some of these teams are still getting away with some stuff now we're definitely tougher and nastier than we were but I just like to see us beat the shit out of somebody a couple games you know I mean and I'm also starting to wonder about you know
[00:51:31] with McDermott you know we have him for how many years now we have two more years on him three I don't know if that now I look at that contract and I kind of was like you know is that too long to give him I don't it doesn't hinder anything though it's a million plus and you'll plug them in every now and then when you need them like I said we just like move past that I don't see what you're saying Tony I don't it's a couple games I was watching last week right it's always gonna be a couple games because a lot of our key guys are still on the smaller side but overall I just don't put that as a
[00:52:01] concern anymore but you know rightfully so if you do you know that's just the way you're looking at the game what's the Stanley Cup final you want to see for me it's the really if I can't enjoy a professional men's team in Minnesota winning a championship then I want to be the reason that they don't celebrate a winning and I like that team I love Minnesota I love the wild I think they're a fun
[00:52:31] team to watch they came out of nowhere this year and and it's kind of you look at that team and you're like wow they put together this kind of season what are they going to be able to do next year when they get all that dead cap money from Sutter and Parisi off their books and Billy Garin can actually cook a little bit but I'd like to beat the Minnesota wild I'm guilty of being biased to the old style of Minnesota I think of Minnesota and I think of boring hockey and all that when they were trying to be like the young devils and all that kind of stuff they're not that team anymore but I still have that
[00:53:00] bias if I'm talking about standing like a final I want to see it's the devils beating the Leafs oh keep them down one more year Keith gets it the who the Leafs we can't beat the Leafs in the cup final it's a fantasy world for Bobby Bobby's a Mets fan give him some break yeah can we beat the Rangers for the cup to get to the Stanley Cup I'm sorry okay so you want to put and beat them in the playoffs at some point yeah which you're probably going to have to go through Toronto they're a really good team okay but
[00:53:29] the actual final like something that's not made up in your head something those Brooke Shields dreams how about how about beating the the Jets and their top of their division they're sore and they could be a nice pick go on a run although first round of last year wouldn't suggest that yeah beat them okay how about you Tom I would say I got two pounds I would say Vegas just because I think
[00:53:59] they're the best team out there and I would love to beat them beat the best team but I would like to beat the Kings because that year that they beat us and I watched the little celebrities run around their stands when you know our Devils pretty much got our asses handed to us I would like to beat the Kings but I think more realistic we're gonna we could play the Knights and I think the Knights would be tough but it'd be nice to beat the big dogs like just like beating the Chiefs right wouldn't you like to beat the Chiefs if you were in the Super Bowl Chris yeah you want to take down the big dogs
[00:54:28] I mean I was I'm real curious see how we match up against the Kings I mean the Knights when we play them but my honorable mention I'll say is the Edmonton Oilers because if you can just keep Connor from a Stanley Cup for one more year while you get one that would be fun too and everybody wants Edmonton to win if you're not a you know it's a lot of the people unless you hate Edmonton you know but absolutely and I think this devil team I mean they have a lot of the pieces I think they don't have them all yet but they have a lot and they think
[00:54:57] that they're we're going to be okay I see a cup in this team's future really do we need and we've said it before and we're going to say I'm going to say it again and we keep on harping on this for the last two seasons there is a guy we need who went I think he went fourth right in 2018 in the draft that's Brady Kachuk that would change this whole I mean you have to give up some stuff but you got to give up you know I mean but here's the thing fire we need some fire I absolutely agree and Brady Kachuk would fit on this team
[00:55:27] like love I think but at the same time now the problem is Ottawa's actually winning you know so Ottawa's looking at any hype dream that anybody had us the Rangers anybody of getting Brady Kachuk done that's fine Ottawa is winning and Ottawa could be a dangerous team the Rangers have problem and I'm real curious to I don't know who they're playing tonight I wanted to check that but I know it's getting late and Tony's got to get out of here so real quick we'll
[00:55:57] just go through let's do some picks so we never did this before so let's do this Ducks Capitals tonight Capitals I'm going to take the Ducks I like the way they have been playing Seattle Pittsburgh at Pittsburgh the second team I tell you is the home team Pittsburgh Seattle Seattle I'm gonna go Seattle Tampa Bay Bruins Tampa
[00:56:23] wow the Bruins been playing I think they beat Florida the other night in overtime the other afternoon that was actually a fun game I'll go with the Bruins too Sharks at Red Wings Red Wings going for their eighth in a row man those sharks dropped they're a good team they're a fun team they'll end it yeah the sharks are gonna be nasty I'll even think in a couple years and they look yeah there's shit going on there so you taking sharks or wings
[00:56:53] I'm gonna take the wings even though they've been on they've been rolling the right wing so but I like I do like the sharks so do I so Tony's got the wings winning winning their eighth in a row Bobby and I have the sharks bouncing them Philadelphia Flyers at Columbus this that might be a good game I think I'm gonna go with the Blue Jackets I'm gonna go with the Flyers on a mini roll no Blue Jackets also all right
[00:57:24] the Dallas Stars at Toronto good game the Leafs Toronto oh no I'm sorry Dallas Stars I'm going I'm taking Toronto hold off on that game for last the Ottawa Senators at New York Islanders Matt Senators yeah Sens I'll take the Sens too I think this is the only West Coast game I know there's two Vancouver at Winnipeg
[00:57:55] Jets Vancouver has no business winning that game so I'm gonna go with them when you're a Jet you're a Jet all the way Jets win let's see Golden Knights at Nashville the biggest disappointment of the year Golden showers I'm going with I'm taking it's not gonna get any better so Knights Calgary Flames a lot of games tonight this is great Calgary Flames at St. Louis Tuesday 14 games
[00:58:25] tonight St. Louis isn't really a team so I'm gonna go with the Flames I'm with you you're just trying to trick me into thinking St. Louis is a hockey team fuck that fuck everything that Missouri has for seven games are you taking Flames too Bob yeah the New York Rangers at Colorado let's go abs yeah it's a good time for Colorado to step it up and knock the Rangers down a peg abs avalanche I would say avalanche and they win by
[00:58:54] three or more the Montreal Canadian what's that is it five past tonight yeah I would say five past Montreal at Utah I like Montreal Utah has I mean they're at I forget who it is they got someone in their lineup tonight that's coming back but I'm gonna go Montreal also I'm just reading this right Utah all right and then the only one that really matters and this is a 730 puck drop
[00:59:24] which is odd for us being at home but Florida because it's an ESPN game too oh is that it yeah yeah Stuban's on the call or at least on the show I hope it's on MSB I don't know I gotta watch ESPN feed which is gonna be awful they use broadcasters in our hockey broadcasters and it's only on ESPN yeah I don't get it so that sucks okay so Florida at New Jersey this is a tough one actually because the reason I say this
[00:59:54] is like we were talking about earlier you know the Panthers are gonna come out shooting because I mean they got beat twice in one week by the Devils it's gonna be a narrative in this game but I'm gonna be as Bobby says I'm gonna be a homer and go with the Devils but it's gonna be a tough one yeah all right I think that revenge shit only oh sorry yeah just real quick score prediction score oh score prediction I'm gonna go 5-3 Devils one empty netter
[01:00:24] at the end from all right 5-3 with the empty netter what do you got Bob I think that like that revenge shit is just for the first couple of shifts and after that it's just gonna settle into whatever game it's gonna settle into I think it will be 1-0 them and then we get the next two and that's it 2-1 nice tight fog game tight I mean it's a statement if you sweep the Stanley Cup champs in a season and the Devils have the opportunity to do it Devils are six games in a row now
[01:00:53] home wins I think six in a row yep so tonight they're going for their seventh in a row at the rock Spencer Knights probably in net right Bobrovsky played last night against the Flyers Devils are arrested Florida played last night they lost this is going to be tough I think if the Devils need to tighten up because I just think that if you give away these odd man rushes like we've been it's going
[01:01:23] to be a long night I just Sam Reinhardt is playing out of his freaking head right now he makes me very nervous I'm going to say it's going to be the Devils are going to go we're going to roll into our third overtime game in a row 3-2 overtime winner for New Jersey we win it who scored it yeah Dougie Dougie put him back out there
[01:01:53] that's that's that's that's my pick but anything else you guys want to talk about before we 120 I got bus duty in about actually four and a half hours my wife is trying to get us to get a cat now actually a cat that was rescued from Ukraine from a bombing shelter yes it's four years old and she's trying to get me
[01:02:39] and Donald and see what he should do all right so Panthers tonight and we will be back at some point during the week my work schedule is a little wacky this week because I got to move my daughter back up to college tomorrow so I'm actually taking the day but we'll go over all that off mic and we'll be back and yeah we'll talk about this game so wherever you're listening to us guys like the five-star review positive comment subscription download helps little podcast act good for Bobby and Tony I'm Chris we are
