I was at the net getting ready for someone to pass to me. Then it happened. But before I tell you that story, I have to tell you this one:

By the time I was five years old I knew I wanted to be a hockey player. I love the Devils because my dad loves the Devils and I hate the Flyers and Rangers because they are rivals. I did eventually join a 'Learn to Play' program. Unfortunately I was called a 'Junior Flyer' and I had to wear a Flyers suite. Then I joined an Ice Line team, it wasn't the best because the teams switched every game which I did not like. It was the last game of the season. I was not very good because I had not even scored. "I can't believe I have not scored" I said to myself on the day of the last game.

Let's go back to the beginning shall we. My teammate passed to me and I had the puck. But the goalie was right there so I had to swerve out of the way to shoot... and score. GOAAAALLLLL! I had done it, "I can't believe it!" I said. At the end of the game, I got to keep the puck I put in the net. I call it Lucky Pucky. I have not played hockey in a little while, but I am confident I will be even better next time I am on a team.

One day, I hope to be a NHL Superstar! I mean, I did destroy my dad 20-0 in a 1 vs. 1 match on my back deck, just so you know. But I am also good at goaltender so if not better then Wayne Gretzky, the great one, maybe I will be better than Martin Brodeur. Who knows?

Anyway, the moral of this story, believe in yourself and never give up.
